What teams are in the 12th?

Southwestern has 2 holes to fill from their regional title team last year. Should be really solid again this year and next. The have a really good jr class this year.

Without a doubt West Jessamine is the team to beat in the 12th. The Warriors should be 2nd but don't look past Garrard County they are very very good for a change and with a good run could easily take this region. They really don't have a superstar but are solid at every position. Mercer is way down but have a lot of young talent and really thin on pitchers.

Meant Garrard County not harried.

Enough about the teams. Hands down the best non pitcher ( I know it's all about pitching) in the region is the PEAVLER kid from Mercer. He missed last season to a knee injury after an all state all tournament sophomore year. Followed closely by Robbins of Boyle and Stamm from Danville. West Jess has several real studs I expect this region to make a serious run in the state. This could be the 3rd best region in the state.

I think this region has been the 3rd best in the state for the last several years. This year should be know different.

I hadn't really thought about it but I would say you are right

Behind the 11th and 7th? I'd say you'd get arguments from some but the 12th has several solid+ programs.

Yes behind the 11th and the 7th. The 12th has had a team in the State Championship game 2 of the last 4 years. I will be very surprised if they don't have 4 teams in the preseason top 25 (Southwestern, West Jessamine, Danville, and Garrard) and 2 more receiving votes (Mercer Co. and Somerset). A lot of talent in the 12th Region again this year and besides at West and Garrard most of it is in the Junior and Sophomore classes.

Somerset's freshman and sophomore class is loaded. How that will translate this year I don't know but watch for the Jumpers to improve as the season progresses and don't be suprised if they are once again in the 12th Region finals come seasons end.

It is a good group but thats alot to expect from them this year.

I'm not saying they should be there and I don't know how many are expecting them to be there. All I am saying is don't be surprised if they happen to be there come seasons end. It's a good group of young talent at SHS.

Someone told me that Somersets hitting facility burnt down yesterday. Anyone have any news about it?

I don't have any news but I saw this on Twitter from the Conner baseball team:

@Conner_Baseball: Somerset High School baseball and softball lost alot of their equipment in a fire yesterday. Please consider donating SHS Baseball/Softball Fieldhouse by Dwight Sears - GoFundMe
