Survivor: World's Apart

Raise your hand if you were surprised Rodney struggled with the puzzle challenge last night. Or with Shirin having trouble on the balance beams.

The male blue collar players are all jerks. Mike is delusional, Rodney is just an idiot and Dan may be the worst of the bunch.

I don't really see Mike coming off as a jerk at all.

On another note, does anyone else find it interesting how little they show Joe being involved in the voting strategies? Is he really a loner and not even playing strategically? Or do the producers know we will see a lot of him at the end of the game so they are focusing on other people in the current shows?

Great question. I always try to think, "What are the producers not showing us this week" or "how are they manipulating certain things by what they show".

They finally got Joe!!

Unless you're going to win every single immunity challenge after the merge, sometimes I think its better to maybe sandbag a little at time. Can't make yourself too big of a threat.

I've liked Jenn throughout the show, but I'm done with her. "I'm not a quitter". Just because you don't voluntarily take yourself out of the game, doesn't mean you aren't a quitter.

Rodney was pretty good with his impressions last night.

This group has really gotten personal. Gotta be honest Shirin is starting to grow on me simply because of all of the venom that's been directed towards her.

They are done with her now, too!

The two players I liked the most out of those left have now been voted out the past two weeks - Joe and Jenn. It says a lot about the remaining people when the most likeable person left now might be Shirin. That was one of the most heated and ugliest shows I can recall in Survivor.

Next week is do or die week for Dan and Sierra. If they stick with the other four on the next vote, they will not have the numbers to stop Will/Rodney/Tyler/Carolyn from running their alliance to the final four.

I don't remember Survivor ever getting this personal before. I have found myself actually pulling for Shirin because of all the :poop: she's taken.

Final 8 Synopsis:

Mike-Way over playing. May have cost himself the game by acting like he was going to bypass the letter. Instead of "blowing up" the alliance he should have quietly taken Dan and Sierra aside and talked to them. Last night may have been the episode where Mike lost a million dollars. He's now put himself in a position that he has to win every immunity.

Dan-What Jenn said is true. Just flat out dumb. He is a jerk and his game play is awful. He's not a threat in any challenge (physical or mental) and apparently from the previews for next week he wasn't smart enough to hide his "advantage". He's now on the outside looking in and he doesn't realize it.

Rodney-Maybe the most unlikable person to ever play Survivor. Again, he's not a threat in any challenge. He's Carolyn and Tyler's ticket to the win. If he's sitting next to them I don't think he can win.

Sierra-For a person who said a long time ago she didn't trust the blue collars she's sure followed them like a puppy dog. She had chances to flip and change the game but wasn't smart enough to do it.

Shirin-Suddenly the player getting the sympathetic edit. The stuff that Will said to her was uncalled for. I don't recall anything ever that nasty said to another player. She could still make noise if a mental challenge comes up. I don't think she can win the whole thing but an unexpected challenge win could get someone unexpected booted.

Will-Totally useless and after last night a nasty person as far as I'm concerned. Even less of a factor in challenges then Rodney or Dan. It was an empty gesture on his part to offer to sit out the challenge because he had no shot.

Carolyn-Not real sure what she did to get so firmly on Jenn's bad side but I also don't think she can win. Her game right now is to play floater and ride Tyler's coat tails but she already has 3 people on the jury that won't vote for her. I can see her going home with the idol in her pocket.

Tyler-After last night he's now my pick as the winner which means he's probably gone next week. He is a threat to win both physical and mental challenges and he doesn't seem to have done anything overly offensive to the jurors.

Good recap and analysis. As I said above, if Dan and Sierra don't make a move this week against Tyler or Carolyn, those two will be hard to beat.

I'm thinking the Survivor Finale back in the U.S. will be very interesting. These players really dislike each other a lot!

I agree and depending on the finalists there could be some very interesting questions/statements from jurors at the final tribal. I don't really see many "it was just a game" sentiments in the finale. This game seems to have become very personal.

If you can not win is being 1st or 2nd on the jury a good consolation? Extended vacation at CBS expense - with hot showers and real meals. And if your Joe you can not complain about the company at this point.
