Survivor: World's Apart

The person guaranteed a spot in the final 3 is Will because everyone knows he will get zero votes. Rodney also has zero chance IMO. If it is Will, Rodney and Sierra, Sierra will win. If Mike or Carolyn are in the final 3, they win. If both are there, I think Mike wins because he has been on his own with no alliance, and because the jury likes or respects him at this point.

Completely agree with this. I'll be bummed if Mike or Carolyn isn't sitting there. But sometimes that's the way it goes.

Mike is still around because of winning challenges but the rest of the players have been terrible in challenges. Joe and Jen were solid challenge players but everyone else has been terrible. I take that back, Carolyn has been competitive but again, the female leaning challenges are almost a slam dunk for her because the other women have been so bad. Will and Rodney are two of the most pathetic challenge players ever. Dan was just barely better than them. I said this earlier in the season but will repeat again here - Rodney is the most athletic looking non athlete I have ever seen. He is an embarrassment to his body. I have laughed in almost every challenge this season at how bad many of these players are. Rodney can't throw a hook through the air? Come on dude. They should make an outtake clip to show at the final of Rodney's pathetic challenge performances.

I'd take it further and say that they are two of the most pathetic Survivor players too.

As for Rodney, the GTL Life (Gym. Tanning. Laundry) that was made famous by Jersey Shore, which it wouldn't shock me if Rodney lives by, certainly doesn't involve athletics. He's proven that and I bet the guys on Jersey Shore would have done the same.

The one thing you have to give Rodney credit for as a player is he did a good job at working and building alliances. He would have been gone a long time ago if not for that. And he is a good liar too.

The looks on Will and Rodney's faces as Jeff was reading the votes were priceless.

What about Dan's exit comments that he played a respectable game? Is he really so obtuse that he doesn't realize what a jerk he's been?

Three people have been "idoled" this year. Kelly was eliminated when Jenn played an idol and negated 7 voter against her. Tyler was eliminated when Mike played his idol and negated 4 votes against him and Dan was eliminated when Carolyn played her idol and the 5 votes against her (including Dan's extra one which made his "advantage" totally useless  ) were voided. I don't think there's ever been another season where so many people have saved themselves with idols. That's been fun to watch. And Mike actually used his idol twice when he used it to sow the seeds of distrust in Dan.

From Rodney's CBS Survivor profile:

Personal Claim to Fame: I was captain of the Boston high school all-star football team and the basketball team. Also, I graduated with a bachelor’s degree.

Maybe he is sandbagging and saving it all to get to the final three.

That would be the most incredible acting job in history if true.

This is Dan's arrival at Ponderosa after being eliminated. He's delusional. Thinks he played an honorable, heroic game and that he might have gone farther had he been MORE of a jerk. If he really believes that I wonder what he reaction has been to the edit he's gotten from producers.

That clip was really interesting. I have never paid any attention to Ponderosa talk. In that clip you can see that talk among the jury at Ponderosa can have a big impact on votes at the end.

The one thing that got me in Dan's spiel was he was totally PO'd at Mike pulling his money at the auction and costing people their letters ... only one problem with that - Mike didn't do it! Yes, he started to but then he changed his mind. So Dan is ticked because Mike almost did it. OK. Whatever. Another example of Dan's warped view of the world around him.

I used to watch them every week for each season. Stopped a few ago but they can bet pretty interesting still.

Joe actually might have had the best case scenario (if he wasn't going to win the whole thing). Go out early and enjoy life at Ponderosa. Drink beers, eat food and hang with a couple of ladies. Plus, he was popular enough that he didn't need the extra show time to potentially be invited back.

I don't watch the Ponderosa videos all the time either but when a particularly volatile or loathsome player leaves I usually do, especially when there's someone already there that they may have hosed.

I can't wait to see the conversation back at camp about how Momma C DIDN'T tell the others about her Hidden Immunity Idol.

I thought that was really interesting in the previews. Looked like they were getting mad at her for not telling them after they would have just voted her out. Looking forward to that convo.

Rodney seems to think that everyone should just give him everything.
