Trinity beat X last year... :D

And St. X. slaughtered the pebbles last year..so what's your point?

Back on the topic, I stand with the college team.

Oh, I think you and everyone else got my point. A high school team beating a college team. Get it? :fire:

BTW - did X get rings for their win too.

The answer is anything can happen, but this is far fetched.

Men versus boys.

No chance, the speed of the college game is too fast or 99% of high school kids. You have small school D-Lineman that run sub 4.7's-the best high school team in the country could not beat the worst college team in the country. Even on the worst college team in the country most of those guys were all-everything at their schools in their respective states. So IMO-not even close.

I think the powerhouse teams (Colrain 2 yrs ago) would walk over a lot of teams.

I disagree.

The difference between the two levels is profound. While a few highschool "skill" players may be competetive, the college linemen (both offensive and defensive) and linebackers would overwhelm the prepsters. In addition to being more mature physically, college players play with a much higher intensity level.

Men vs. boys.

You and I actually agree for a change. :D

Wow. I'll try not to let that happen again. :D

bigger, faster, stronger, older, more experienced, better, - anything can happen but odds are heavy with college team.

uh.... I'd say BOTH of those teams are closer to D3 than 1A (high school) ball.

Simply put a highschool football team can not beat a college team. A college team will have had 4 more years of experiance, conditioning, preparation, strength training... You might as well ask if a pee wee team can beat a highschool team. Comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges. When you get to highschool superpowers and very very bad D3 or NAIA teams is only where the possibility of an upset could happen. I'd still put my money on the college team.

Maybe the Highlands 2000 team vs a weak D3 team.

NO! NO! NO! All opinion but I believe if you read all the replies and really analyze the possibilities, you would have to agree. The age, maturity, experience, size, strength, etc, etc, etc, would be too much to overcome. I will state the only instance I think this COULD happen. If a senior laden high school team were to play against an upstart DIII team with strictly true freshmen and no experienced QB to play. Then MAYBE! Just MAYBE!:fight:

Pride alone would make those true freshmen play that much harder.
