District Tourney at Holmes due to Holmes hosting and wanting to keep it at home. Makes sense.

Regional at BOKC.

I know this wasnt meant for me and the starting of this thread. You need to take a step back. I am just trying to confirm if the Regional Tournament will be there or not. I am a big fan of the CovCath Crazies and I think they are some of the best fans in the state. I certainly dont think they did anything destructive on purpose.

 

The reason for the thread was to get some sort of clarity because if it is at Holmes you better get their very early and run the risk of being shut out.

 

It may just be the District Tourney not being played there. But If it was to keep CovCath out of there they are going to have to also cut the Regional Tourney because I would say they have a 98% chance of being there and a 50% chance of winning it which means the Crazies could show up 3 times.

 

First, off, if you think that it wasn't meant for you, then why the "step back'? Bad choice in the real world. LOL. And I know that you are a fan of NKY sports not just one team, but some others are using this opportunity in the way, IMO.

I think some are confusing the bleachers with actual seats. Think bleachers which almost all student sections stand on, but at the BOK they are a hard plastic instead of wood, so for some to say that the kids need to learn/ be taught common sense isn't really what should be vented.

 

But, if a kid broke a railing, attempt to find out who it is, should be easy if someone at the BOK stopped him? Which this brings up an honest question, how sturdy are those railings?

Not sure I am in agreement with this. So, if the same kids come to your house to watch a game, you would need to communicate to them not to jump on your furniture and pull the banisters off of the wall. Comes down to upbringing. These kids need to have better common sense and parents need to teach them better.

Undoubtedly, neither of those thoughts work. The kids represent the school (both as players and as fans). My opinion, it is easier and more direct coming from the administration. Would not be surprised if the administration does not have more leverage than the parents do these days (generally speaking).

Would the floor size be the same at Holmes as to the BOK? That's the biggest advantage for CCH in having NCC have to play on a College floor.

 

The new chant from the student section should be "We are scared and we are shaking because we know we are going to break it (stands)!

It's definitely distracting. If they were 10' (or 5', or 3') away I would leave it at that. But in my opinion they are permitted too close to the players and the court.

And that would be an officials issue. If the ref's feel the same way, they would tell the kids, coach, and school personnel to have them stay back more or get a T.

Almost? They aren't in any way making contact with the in-bounder. Period. There are always faculty and administrators standing between the students and the player.

 

Heck, I can't tell you how many kids I've seen in-bound the ball in front of that section, with all of the hooting and hollering occurring behind them, with a huge smile on their face.

Some of those are probably beaten up pretty good. Even though it may not be too apparent from looking at them.

When the kids came walking down the seats before the NCC/CCH game, one snapped.
