It has already been stated on here multiple times that the region is at BOKC and the premise of this thread is false.

My understanding is that CCH has written some checks the last two years for repairs to bleachers.

The NKU people say their students get in for free already. I know they always have youth groups in attendance and assumed they got in free as well. Why did they build a 9,000-seat arena for a program that can barely get 1,000 fans a night in my question. Last week they had an OK crowd on Thursday, but Saturday was another so-so attendance day. Some of their own people were complaining about playing at almost the same time as UK that day and I agree with them. That's on who ever does scheduling. Like I said earlier, there seems to be a lack of understanding by the NKU administrators on scheduling game times and even teams. They brought in Clermont College and another school from Ohio Mid-West earlier in the season and never understood that.

Who is this "They" you speak of? Thought the state built the arena for other events and to help NKU in their quest for Division 1 status? It was not built soley for NKU hoops was it?

Correct there is a minimum seating capacity for new applicants to Division I. Also, it was built by the state to allow Northern Ky. to host events that only Cincinnati had access to. Obviously part of the vision was to take events from old run down buildings in another state and bring the business to KY. That has worked to a certain extent and with the coup of the girls state tournament I think the BOKC has done a good job with that. They are slightly ham strung with the NKU games taking dates but more so with summer concerts wanting to be at Riverbend and not in an indoor facility. BOKC is hopping all winter and into the spring, but really has not much happening in it summer and early fall. That is probably their current biggest challenge, to get events between June - Sept.

I really can't believe what I'm reading on this post. NKU was a very good Div. II program that went to the finals twice and nobody showed up at their games even though it was great basketball. Now they have doubled their attendence (although still not good ) have played UK, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Navy, Florida Gulf Coast, Mercer, Morehead, and had West Virginia on campus this year. If that's not going in the right direction then what is? I don't like the expensive concessions or the parking, but what division I program is free. Buy a season ticket and you'll get free parking. The BOK Center is one of the best places in the country to watch a game. You should be proud that it's in our coommunity.

Says who? Have you got access to any agreements we sign at the BOKC? No, because we do not. Anything I have posted here is common knowledge. I work part time at the BOKC for events only. Please refrain from telling me what is appropriate if you do not have all the facts. Thank you.
