ShooterX3, what about Russell? What is your opinion there?

I like em- a lot, but I'm waiting to see what the Cubster says before I put my "official prediction" in, plus you got all those new kids coming in at Ashland and Boyd County, and that is always "scary":scared:

What do you think about Russell?

Hopefully teams can put it in the hoop better or more consistently next year.

Did you know?

The 16th Region combined to average 51.58 points per game last year?

New rules for next year. In 16th region, first one to 50 wins...ON TUESDAY night's only. On Friday nights, you play to 50 win by 4! That's to give more action to the crowd, who can stay out later since it's not a school night.

and Duckster, I know with your war injuries you dont get out much, but you can take this to the bank, Morehead will not beat Florida, but Rose Hill will be a top 5 team in the region next year (if everyone returns) and maybe higher.

They have more total talent than any team in the region, its just a little young, but they have a three year run coming up, mark it down. The Euton/Jackson era is just one year away

Shooter, my friend, if you have them as at least a top 5 team next year, then who, pray tell do you see them beating for a top 5 spot??

1. Russell

2. Elliott

2. Ashland

4. Rowan

5. Morgan, Fairview, Greenup, Boyd, Raceland ,East Carter or West Carter for the 5th spot??? Can RH climb ahead of all these teams NEXT year ???

In two years, yes!!! Next year, No!! In two years they could battle Elliott for the region final.:thumb:

Change that to a two year run starting after next year and we can agree!!:D

There aren't many that have a better grip on 16th Region teams than the Duckster (okay - Nets, Cubster, TBF, Goliath, Shooterx3, Blue Blazer, Red Blazer, UKNetsfan, Gold Sunrise, Incognito, WoodyJr, Scooterbob, RickyP, GodIsATomcat, Onetoya, RedBlood, LionKing, and maybe 30 or 40 others - but that's it),

Frances, it would have been easier to list the 3 total posters for this messageboard that represent the other 15 regions and then simply say "all other user names" don't you think?

Only if you include Shooter with those three!!!

Alright most honorable Obe Won Kanobe, if RH defeats Morgan @ Morgan Co, then and only then might I concede that they could be as high as 5. Even then, they would not be on the same plateau as Russell, Elliott, Ashland and Rowan.:flame:

Do I consider them a  ? Not next year. But a top contender the following two years.:D

You mean to tell me a win of Piarist won't convince you? Man your tough. :D

Actually Duck, they would be a top contender for the next several years after next year and I haven't ruled out next year. Even though I tend to agree that we are probably a year away.

1. Russell / 2. Ashland / 3. Elliot / 4. Rose Hill / 5. Morgan

I know that this is my own post, I just wanted to add Greenup Co. in the mix as a dark horse.

I totally went brainhead. I apologize. Russell is Region Champs and didn't mean to take nothing away from them. They are going to be a good team in the region but their not the top 3 teams in the region. They played teams at the right time. That is what March is all about, every team has a chance.

I apologize again.

Russell returns everyone from the regional championship team and will probaly have a top defender back also. Do you have 1 more apology in ya ?

1. Elliott Co. - 3 Stars back

2. Morgan Co. - Know how to win

3. Greenup Co. - Experience - Solid Seniors

4. Russell - Region champs, but not the best TEAM in the region

5. Rowan Co.; East Carter; West Carter; Ashland - up for grabs

Is this Respectable?

Who do you think returns for Greenup? Where's Ashland? 9th? Are you joking?
