Couldn't tell you but my perspective is that these two are establishment picks. One already had a failed run and the other is from a family whose name doesn't sit well with 30-40% of the voting electorate. Now if Bush ran against Hilary, it might even out, as the other 30-40% hate her or the name. Frankly, Jeb is the most qualified of the Bush brothers but timing is everything. It will be interesting to see how this sorts out.

Rand Paul is the best choice for the Republicans.

I know you didn't ask me, but I'll give my input anyways...

 

Rubio - Ehh, I think I like the idea of Marco Rubio more than I like the candidacy of Marco Rubio.

 

Christie - I think he'd be a very solid President. Also think he's pretty much torpedoed any hopes he had of ever being elected.

 

Paul - Love him. I think he'd be the "Home Run" candidate, and one that if given an opportunity could really draw in the independents and a portion of Democrats. I think he and Bush are the only candidates that have a snowballs chance in hell against Clinton, should she run.

I don't follow politics enough, but I've said for a while that Chris Christie is my guy.

It's all good. I'm interested in all three and I know there has always been concern about whether any of these three can break the traditional stranglehold of the GOP. Christie and Paul intrigue me the most as they seem to be non-traditional republicans who make true attempts to appeal to non-traditional republicans. I'm actually more interested in the republican nomination than the democratic nomination this time around. First time for everything.

One thing Romney could do is just show clips from debates where President Obama and News Anchors were scoffing at what he was saying, only for his predictions to come true over the next several years.

I hope somebody can beat Jeb but I don't want it to be Romney. When it comes to the office of the Presidency, the old saying, "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" should not apply.

 

This country does not need anymore Bushes or Clintons in the WH!

I really like Paul but I think the left will make him out to be the biggest Radical in the last 100 years. He'll spend so much time trying to convince people that he's not part of some Tea Party Anti-Govt Militia or praying to Aqua Buddha. If he focuses on smaller government and makes that 90% of his platform I think he'd have a chance. He can't get caught up in the fringe Libertarian positions that don't have wide spread popularity.

 

I agree with UKMF, I like the idea of Rubio more than I like his chances...Possible VP

 

Jeb Bush IMO would have an easier time beating Clinton than he would winning the primary.

 

Christie, I've never warmed to him. But I'd like to hear more about his ideas and plans.
