you play in one state tournament, if you dont qualify for the nationals by winning, you automatically qualify for the d-2 nationals just by participating in the state tournament and not winning, but I think you already knew that

Could you give me example when this has happened.

Thats how I qualified for d-2 nationals, I believe it was the 7th grade, isnt that still the rule?

D2 in Kentucky only began last year or the year before. Am I correct?

Let's go to another tangent...Who is playing where this weekend???

Let's go to another tangent...Who is playing where this weekend???

Kentucky Shinining Star Sports is playing in Indy in the Hoosier Spring Classic. An NCAA certified event.

The only reason we are playing there is because Eddie Ford would not let us in his tourney this weekend.

Derek Smith All stars east and west are going to the Houston Kingwood classic. Huge tournament, great exposure, tough competion. Just found out Novosell hurt his ankle and cant play this weekend, if anyone knows of a strong post player, physical presence, great attitude, who wants to get "discovered" and has the ability to play at the next level and hang out with a great bunch of kids for a weekend pm me

Its a great opportunity for someone that has the ability to get a scholarship

That's a 10-yard penalty and loss of down for using the word tangent in normal conversation!!!

Ky Hawks, Ky Patriots & Loyalty (Louisville) were allowed to participate. (From the pool info on his website) How were they allowed in?

probally because eddie promised it would be ncaa certified and it wasnt, a lot of teams backed out and he "needed" them, he must have needed them bad because this would be a first time he ever let a Kentucky team in

as a matter of fact they need teams in 17U.

I would love to know the answer to that as well. Eddie Ford made it very clear that he would not allow Kentucky Shining Star Sports to play. He called our director and told him that he would not allow them to play.

I don't know if it had anything to do with the fact that it was 17 and under, but he absolutely would not allow our Kentucky team to play. He said it was allright for our Ohio teams to enter.

You are probably correct. Does anyone know why it is not NCAA certified?

I dont think it was eddie's fault, seems like the ncaa told him it was certified, and then said it wasnt, dont really understand why, but the really good teams wont come to a non-certified event, especially if they have to travel, I would say if you called now, you might be able to get that tba spot
