December 23, 201411 yr Why isn't there any Hardee's in the Cincinnati area? I know a bunch closed down years ago but not sure why. You can go to any other city in the region and this is the only one that has NONE. I think they need them back here.
December 23, 201411 yr I used to dig their mushroom and swiss burgers. Might've been something like 2 for $3.
December 23, 201411 yr Great biscuits, lousy everything else. Gonna have to disagree. About 15 years ago they revamped everything on the menu but their breakfast stuff — which was always great because of their biscuits. Since the change, their burgers are quite good and I would only rank them behind Wendy's as far as fast-food burgers go. "Everything else" was lousy as hell when Hardee's was still in NoKy. Not anymore.

December 23, 201411 yr They all shut down in Ashland too, they were turned into more Arby's. I have been to some great Hardees, along with a few I will never step foot in again. I suppose the issue is quality control, that seems to be a big issue in my experience. The one in Louisa is one of the worste fast food joints I've ever been to.
December 23, 201411 yr Bacon Cheeseburger from Before the revamp was AWESOME. Not a fan of Angus burgers now. Breakfast is by far best in Fast Food!!! Sausage, Bacon Egg, Steak, Smoked Sausage Biscuits are all Great!!!
December 23, 201411 yr The Hardees that used to be in Covington started out as Roy Rogers where aside from their great juicy Roast Beef Sandwiches and Double R Burgers, they also served real good Fried Chicken, and were the first restaurant to introduce Roast Beef wraps packed with veggies that they called The "Stroller" w/ stroller sauce. Then RR sold out to Hardees, where for a short time Hardees continued to offer the RR Fried Chicken. Eventually the chicken was a thing of the past, and then it was all Hardees stuff. I used to work 3rd shift and got into a real bad habit of going through their drive thru on the way home from work to load up on either their breakfast biscuit or croissant sandwiches with tater tots. The cheap 2 Mushroom and Swiss Burgers for $3 also became a constant temptation. For my sake it was a good thing that Hardees left Covington, as it was seriously time for me to stop having them be a regular part of my diet. I just didn't need all that comfort junk food temptation anymore, and thankfully the remaining fast food joints in the area just don't do it for me. I'm thankful too that there's never been a Rally's in Covington. Cheap n' greasy, and easy to get into trouble with.

That said, I rarely ever eat fast food. But when I do these days, its generally Rallys, Arbys, or a local fast food joint.
December 23, 201411 yr Author I loved the Texas BBQ thick burger that they had out recently. Living in Campbell County, the nearest one's to me now are in Cynthiana and Maysville.
