I forgot to post this in my 1st post in the thread, but congrats to Williamsburg on the win, and making it to the championship game. I wish you good luck next weekend against Mayfield. I was disappointed I didn't get you meet some of the Williamsburg fans on here. I hope you had/have a safe trip home.

Had a great trip to Raceland, excellent people. This game like a lot of games could have been drastically different with a few plays going the other way. Williamsburg failed to score first when they were inside the five, Raceland had a couple of drops on sure fire deep touchdown passes.

Was definitely a great day of football for you yesterday. I actually predicted WKU's upset over Marshall yesterday.

Raceland had another good season even though they lost so much from the team last season.

 

I hope both of these schools continue to have success on the field.

I had a good time at the game, great food (sausage dog) and atmosphere...Congrats to Raceland for making their second straight state semi final game...I was late arriving for the game and wish I could have meet a few more of you...After the game I talked to a couple of fans who were very apologetic about the 2 late personal foul calls as I was about the late TD pass...Got to talk to Mickey Dixon again, you guys are lucky to have this man as a principle at your school...You got a good young group coming back next year, good luck to the Rams...

I was pulling hard for Raceland. There is not another 1A program in KY that I'd rather see win a title than the Rams. I hope the seniors realize what an accomplishment they have reached over the last few years, and they don't judge things based on this one game. You have taken your program to new levels, never before reached. For all you underclassmen, remember this feeling, get back in the weight room and work extremely hard the next year with one goal in mind. Keep the program moving forward and hopefully this time next season you will be planning your trip to Bowling Green. Go Rams!!

Really sorry you guys at Raceland came up a little short, was hoping to play the Rams next week.

 

Trust me, we were hoping to be there as well :lol2:l. Bottom line - We got beat by a better team. Wburg made plays, Rams didn't. They deserve to be in the championship game.

Thank you for the kind words Watusi. I certainly agree about these Seniors. They have been a part of something special in the history of Raceland football.

I think this game may have been so much different if Dixon would have caught the first pass thrown. Great ball and when he turned around it hit his helmet. In order for Williamsburg to score, they faked a punt and scored later on in that drive. Nonetheless, Williamsburg was clearly the better team last night.

 

Congrats to the Rams for a great, unexpected season. Many people never thought they may have not even won a district championship. You clearly made that statement early. Then the regional title. I am proud to have watched this season. This season was a season to show people what Ram football is all about.

 

Congrats to the burg. Again, another great defensive game plan against the Rams. You all have one of the best line-backing corp I have seen in all of high school football. They really know how to flow over top and fill the gaps. Congrats again on making it to state again and showing for the East.

Congrats to the Rams for a great, unexpected season. Many people never thought they may have not even won a district championship. You clearly made that statement early. Then the regional title. RAMS ....This team has set a new level, Repeat Region Championships ! That is something to build even further on. Raceland Football is No Longer just an "District Champion/Dynasty" only. The challenge before you returning players is now to maintain that Region Champion and/or Factor" and raise the bar even higher. You now have been "on the front porch to knocking on the door" of a 1A State Championship Game. Return to winter workouts, lifting, running, etc. and come back next season and "Kick the dam Door in" !!

This Raceland team will have ALOT Returning next season but take nothing for granted. Work Harder and More Determined Than Any Rams Team Ever Has !

OR, let me get this straight. Since GC wasnt in a regional championship, it was ok for a late td (with under 2 minutes on the clock, up 2 scores and gc with no timeouts) for a coach to throw the ball 7 times in a row and score instead of take a knee? But since Raceland was in a regional championship game you think its wrong to have it done to them? Classy.

 

What I was saying was that you seem to call karma unless you are the ones deserving. One doesn't have to look too far back to one of the few 4A School GC wins over your coaches word "Lil Brother" , poor little ol Raceland :lol2:. Along with that shot (which everyone around here is still laughing at), you just mentioned "Classy" ?? How Classy was it when after GC clearly beat Raceland a few years back.....along with the GC Coaches allowing their team to do it - they practically took part in taunting the Raceland crowd, cheerleaders as soon as the game ended. Seems like when a team just wins a game over a rival, they would want to celebrate with their teammates, coaches and fans. GC made it a priority to, I guess in their own mind, show up an opponets fans :idunno:. Whatever works." Classy" :lol2:

As for my playoff / regionals, etc. comment - that may have not been the best wording. I guess what I was saying is you don't say a whole lot during the season and then you come on (after GC was out of their playoffs) on another's thread when they lose to complain about a regular season game where you were beaten by Raceland. Seems to me that wasn't the time but hey, it's all good.
