I think Boone returns three of their four leading tacklers from last year in Domasko, Brison & Kaiser.

SK also returns Bustle on the line.

I thought Domasko was a senior FB/LB last season. I could be wrong and probably am, but I thought thats what he was.

I think Domasko was Jr last season.

IMO, there's no way Ryle is the heavy favorite. There's no heavy favorite period. Ryle hasn't done anything to prove this either. Every year people talk up Ryle, but every year they finish 3rd at best. The two top teams in the district this past season return almost everybody next year, so there's no question they are the favorite. I'd give the slight edge to Boone with Dixie a close second. Ryle will be fighting it out with CC and SK for the 3rd and 4th spots in the district.

Holmes is definitely the sleeper team, but they are usually considered one every year, and nothing really happens. They always have the athletes, but very rarely are they able to put it together as a team.

Ryle is without a doubt the heavy favorite, i believe that they are playing at nippert stadium next year against glen estey....obviously someone important thinks they are good.....

Wasn't Ryle the heavy favorite last year too !!!:D Losing most of there line doesn't help much either ! I'll take Boone and Dixie over Ryle this year !!!:p

from what i hear their line is just as big and talented as last years, but i may be wrong

Ryle was the pre season and untill the last week of the regular season, the favorite to win the district last season.

HOWEVER,

Dixie is the 4A District Champs.

We lost 5 players to graduation.

We are the top dog on the block with the only other team being Boone Co, and I would put them almost even with us going into the year. Though I wouldn't get excited if you wanted to put them ahead of us in the preseason. It's a subjective call. I don't think so, but I can live with it if the Rebels want to be proud of their team and place them ahead of us. Ryle SHOULD have taken the district crown last season. They know that, and so do we, but they didn't. We did. Why? Well if they figure that one out, I suspect they won't let it happen again.

Dixie will repeat as District Champs again, and it won't shock me if they play in Louisville in December. All we have to do is beat BC.:p

That's all you have to do to play in Louisville in December?

Wow, now that IS some confidence.

OK, just relax my Rock friends. I was just having a little fun mixed in with some seriousness.

That was my own little inside joke between me and the rest of NKY RP. Even two years ago when we beat the rocks we didn't get by Boone County. Last season was pretty much the same. They ended our year, in what us Dixie fans would call premature fashion.

All of NKY knows the road to December still goes thru Louisville.

Hey Campbell County still has a team. They lost alot to graduation, but you can gurantee another playoff run.

Who will take the place of Popp?

Who will take the place of Popp?

Zack Rose, who ran the ball quite well until he broke his arm. Much bigger than Popp. Andy Franzen will get some carries,he is very quick.

Who do those teams return that will make a big impact?

I can only think of the follwing:

Sk- Elbert, Bishop

Scott- Haught

CC- Brian Sauerback

Conner-???

As for Conner:

4 returning starting Lineman that really started to jell as the season progressed. (Evan Draper, Alex Cote, Andrew Hill, and Zack Ryle).

Shane Taylor RB/LB

Kyle Scroggins RB/LB

Brian Samad RB/LB

Charles Norris WR/DB

Arie Gibson RB,QB/DB

Rashad Brown WR/DB

I believe, along with what is coming up to along with them, that this group of players should make an impact this season and battle for one of the top 4 spots this season. Remember its only April, nobody has won anything yet.
