Until them boys learn to play as a TEAM they wont ever get very far. As far as AAU is concerned its overrated also. I havent been doubting them by the way Ive been rooting for these kids because the talent is there. They just havent jelled

 

Next year we will see a completely different Holmes team...they know what needs to be done and that one INDIVIDUAL cant get it done..that is where the senior leadership of DJ and Mr Hill will take over and lead them down the stretch which they didnt have this year...But like Sharp said, if they can play as a team, they will definetly not wanna be seen my many teams.

If pure talent was the criteria for top teams... Holmes would be in my top 3 almost without a doubt. They have speed, ballhanding, and court awareness. Everyone on this site knows of their downfall.

 

They are not a top team as of right now. If they shape up and play as a team, they could be scary. You've talked multiple times about they are a completely different team... I hope you are right. They have the talent.

No offense but the 8th Region is rather weak and even if Wade doesnt develop an offensive game they will still win the 8th most likely

 

You don't think Simon will compete again this year? Only losing one starter, with a few sophomores ready to step up, and Seth Blevins back and healthy? I think they've got a good shot of taking it this year. Wade is a monster, I think everyone in the 8th hopes that he doesn't develop any offensive game, or they definitely have the chance to take it again.

I have seen Mason Co. and GRC mentioned best not leave out the Mustangs of Bishop Brossart from the 10th.

Holmes will be #1 preseason based solely on returning talent, not of the previous year's success. CovCath will be #2 and from then on I'm not sure.

Mason Co. will be dangerous with Darius Miller growing older and more experience!

 

He's a very atheltic and gifted person now, some maturity and he'll go far.

Now that J'Town has claimed the crown in 2006, who should be some of the top teams in 2007.

South Laurel

Scott County

Ballard

:thumb: :thumb: I think after 2 weeks at the beginning of the season everyone will realize just how good they are and going to be and that the loss of one player (maybe two) and the loss of that extra ego will give them more of a TEAM mentality not that they're a year older and more mature

That is what i've been trying to get across to everyone else...when you think about all that Holmes returns next year and who all the other teams are losing, you really cant pick a team to even compete with them besides covcath and holmes will even handle them rather easily (7-10 point spread in favor of the dawgs)

Watching a first round game between Mason Co. and Warren Central, I saw 2 rosters loaded with young talent. I'd imagine those 2 teams will be near the top for the next few years.
