CCH Student Section at Rupp

Featured Replies

I think all of you fan should come up to NKY for a home game. The student section was good, but not even at their best. You can ask many people close to the program about this issue. Many voices after the game said they did a great job at halftime but this wasn't one of the best student sections they had seen. At times it was like they were awwwwww that they were in Rupp Arena. Again I'm not bashing the guys. They were way better than everyone else in state and will make many student sections very jealous but they were not as good as I've seen in the past.

How was the 06 student section compared to the 04 student section?

Some may say that the 04 section was better, simply because it was CCH's first statewide exposer and people were somewhat shell shocked, plus the 04 section (which I was also a part of) had more time to work with - 3 games as opposed to 1. However, this year's group had some new cheers that involved the whole section such as the boxing one and the roller coaster. I'd say both were about even, being part of both.

I didn't get to see them but I think it is awesome that the student body gets into it that much. What a way to support your school :thumb:

Do they do this at football games as well?

Football games are fun also, but it seems as if it is less noticable because with the gym atmosphere, it will get LOUD. Outdoors, it seems to be more quiet.

The best one was when they had the fan cam on them and they were all cheering but making no noise haha.

The boxing one sounded awesome, what was the roller coaster?

Yes, I was at the game and Apollo did get a bye in the Cheerleading comp because CC did not bring any. I don't remember dissing anyone, Oldguy. Don't try to drag me into these futile arguments that many BGPers seem to enjoy. I simply asked where their cheerleaders were, that's all!

Three Lions I owe you an apology. I certainly thought that a person with as many post as you have, would have realized that CovCath is a all male school considering all the threads written on BGP's about CovCath be it football, or basketball. There was even one about the Cheering Section and how TonyDanza was told even she wouldn't be allowed to cheer in the student section..... So when you asked about cheerleaders I assumed the worst.... Again I am sorry.......

That will be your greeting. biggrin.gif

I can honestly say that the CCH cheering section was the hit of Rupp. I was in the corner next to Apollo's section and and CovCath's section was louder that they were!! Nice job guys. Your team came up a little short but I think there is a real good chance CovCath will return next year!!:thumb:

Now on a sidenote my next post will be my 666th I hate this number so I think I will post something about Shelby County since they bounced my beloved Pioneers!!:D

CCH fans are always good, but it is better to see them in a smaller gym. Go to one of their home games next year, could possibly be the best high school atmosphere in the state. But get there early; (like the 1st Q of the JV game or you will find yourself locked out.)

What did you think of the CCH Student Section?

Cov Cath's cheer section is without a doubt the best cheer section in the world they did some of the best stuff ever and they deserve an award for the best cheer section from the KHSAA I think more people watch the cheer section than they watch the game!!!

Just for the record I'm not part of the crowd I'm from a school an hour from them who enjoys watching their cheer section.

What school you from?

What did you think of the CCH Student Section?

Did the Rupp Ushers make you cheer from the upper deck endzone/baseline section, or were you allowed to remain in the lower level?

That was your own fans fault, correct???

If you are talking about T in 04, the regular fans bought all the student section "cheap" tickets that go on sale after you win the round a day earlier. So the students had to buy what was left, and that was in the upper deck...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that that was the best student section ever at Rupp Arena(including UK's students) and even further on that limb and say that it was the best wave ever at Rupp Arena.
