Jim Hicks to Fleming??

Recommended Posts

And once again Ward ball and Greenup Co. won the 63rd district tournament. And no one at Raceland should complain about low scoring games won by defense.

No complaining! Just thought it was amusing that the term "run and gun" was used!!! ;)

On the other hand--- that is a very astute observation about Raceland!! I commend you on your keen knowledge of 16th Region basketball!!:thumb: :creepy:

GIT Coach Hicks has been thru anger management treatment and has been on his best behavior and by the way he would like to be the next coach of the tomcats.

I'm glad to hear Coach Hicks is getting help in this area. His temper, bench behavior, and game relationship with officials, has been a problem in the past imo. He is an everyday guy until he gets on the bench during a game (and sometimes in the stands during a game...he was tossed from a JV game this year by a ref for his behavior while watching from the bleachers). But once the game starts he rarely sits down, complains about practically every call, and in some cases (at least in the past) turns around to the crowd after a "bad" call to work the crowd up to get on the officials. Officials hate it when a coach does that, and they have memories like an elephant when they call another game for the same coach.

So, anger management treatment is a good decision in this case.

Fleming should give Justin Moore a chance at the job. He has really done a good job with the jv boys. He done an outstanding job coaching the boys during the district tourney.

Coach Messer is a teacher of the game in every aspect and has proven it around the different regions. This is just one of the results IMO and not trying to knock Moore's b-ball knowledge. However, the grapevine in town says that a certain faculty member has made several negative comments about Coach Moore's questionable coaching plans in the last few games of the season.:sssh:
