Featured Replies

I will not thread jack this any more. Great schedule X!

I agree however I would love to debate more with you about who the best team in the state the past two years is, if you would like to start a thread.

This has a real "StXish" ring to it, eh?

And if the statement was, "No one in KY will play us, so we have to look else where." It would have a Trinityish ring to it.

This is Great for Kentucky football. This is one step closer to having Kentucky's best teams play each other annually. As I've said so many times before Teams like Trinity,Highlands, Bowling Green,ST X,Male & Scott Co. Should always play atleast 3 of the 6 in state powers every year!!!!

I think it says that Ky schools will play us and that we enjoy good relationships with them. We don't have to go out of state to have a 10 game schedule. We are not ostracized in our own community.
I think it says St Xavier varsity football is a much easier target, pure and simple, year in and year out. Why do you think Manual lobbied so hard to get Trinity out of the Super District?
Just worry about having a full 10 game schedule.

Wow, playing at Central? Ryle? We can continue this discussion after the current season ends.

I'm glad they still have at least one OOS game, even though it is game 10 they are still fun. Can't complain with the non district games. Rival Trinity to go with the best team in 5A, 4A, and 3A.

On a side note, using the same thinking used for the X/T game, until X beats BG again it is hard to say X will beat them in 2015.

FYI:It may be a minor thing but......Highlands joins Bowling Green in 5A for the next four years.

I guess Bishop Gorman was not available.

Explain what is wrong with this schedule without using "out of state competition".

I would take BG, Highlands and Central over any 3 of Ballard, Jtown, Seneca or Eastern (no offense to Coach J).

For Avid: No way is the Cincy X game "as big" as the T game for X. Ask any player on this year's team if they would be just as happy this year if X would have lost to T and beaten Cincy X and I cannot imagine a single player would make that trade.

For all the BG folks (and to a degree i am one): BG stopped scheduling T. Fine. I hated that on both fronts. But you cannot dodge the best team in the state for the past decade and then claim that you are the best team in the state. It doesn't work that way. And while I am not sure what the overall record of BG vs. T is, I am pretty sure - though not positive - that BG has never beaten T.

Difference is I'm telling you, I've played had an impact in both games and can tell you how big the X game is for us.

I concede that it is HUGE for X, far and away the second biggest game on the schedule. All I'm saying is that if you ask any former or current player, "If you have to lose to either T or Cincy X and you will win the other, who would rather beat?", 99.9% of the Tigers will choose to beat T. Thus Cincy X is not "as big" as the T game.

As a T fan I am betting the X schedule is going to be as good or better than T's next year simply because of the district foes and nothing else. The silly comment about X having a better relationship with local schools holds no water. T has Male & PRP on next year's schedule. Locals feel like T has come back to the pack and are willing to schedule again. Wish BG would do the same. I wouldn't throw a single stone at the 2015 X schedule. Kudos.

I think the bridge has been burnt between T and Coach Wallace of BG. Have to wait until the next coach IMO.

Is that Ryle game (Bluegrass Bowl) in Lexington or is St.X hosting????
