Mine would be Van Morrison, Tony Bennett and Tom Petty.

 

I've had chances to see Petty and never made it there. I know he's probably an easier score than the other two logistically and age-wise so I really hope to go next time he tours.

I would really like to see Metallica in concert.

Thought I had heard Van Morrison is afraid of crowds and does not like to perform in public?

I've had a running list of these for a good number of years. I've crossed off Bob Dylan (x3), Springsteen, James Brown, Radiohead (x3), The Beastie Boys, The Flaming Lips (x2), The Replacements, Sigur Ros, Ryan Adams (x3), Ben Harper (x3), and Neutral Milk Hotel.

 

At this point, I think my current list is probably Neil Young, John Prine, Tom Waits, Willie Nelson, and I suppose the Rolling Stones if they should ever play anywhere I could realistically go and if they were to have tickets that cost less than $200 a pop. There are a lot of other bands I'd really like to see, but none that I'm really all THAT concerned with at this point.

I've always liked Bruce but never really LOVED Bruce.

 

However, seeing a concert of his is definitely on the list and there are not a lot I'd have on that list.

Van typically does 20 or so shows a year now, but seldom ventures across the pond. Probably gonna have to go to the UK to see him.

 

In fact he's playing today at Nells Jazz and Blues Club in London.

 

Or you could tell Mr LWC that a trip to Downpatrick and 2 tickets to see Van at the Downpatrick Great Hall on November 22nd or 23rd would be a great Thankgiving trip.

For some strange reason he did develope stage fright. He won't perform in large venues with thousands of people. He does still do smaller venues 15-20 times a year.

Not a big concert fan, but Bruce & Rod are "events" and I wish I could see each again.

Jimmy Buffet and U2 would be events as well.

Coldplay-my son saw them and raved about them, and the live recordings I have make it seem like they'd fit with the "event" criteria I have in place for choosing to go to a concert.

Bruce live is an absolute "revival". You can never appreciate him as an entertainer fully until you see him live, in my opinion.

Yeah, I know he's only overseas now for the most part. A trip to Ireland would be fantastic! Sigh...

I'd like to see The Who one more time and I hear they are going on tour later this year and announcing 1 city at a time.

 

I want to see them because the last time I saw them there were deaths at the concert and I would like to remember their show for good things instead of tragedy. Maybe just my way of healing.

You mean half of The Who is touring...

I've seen most everyone I'd want to see. Tom Petty is probably tops.

 

If Oasis ever get back together, that's a must.
