Things always change in the playoffs as we seen last year. I do not think HHS is a lock at all. Because, they do not have a rusher even close to Harris from last year, and the main back they do have may be out. Last year their Qb threw for over 4000 yds, that is a big deal. I do not believe HHS is as good as last year. Finally they were down 35 ~ 7 at the half against elder, surely elder pulled of the gas, they have bigger fish to fry than HHS. The other teams in 4A should be ready to play because it looks to me HHS is as down from what they have been the last 3 years successively .

While they might not be as good as the last few years, most people still feel they are the best in 4A.

I agree, Highlands is by far the favorite this season as they should be. Hoge seems to be coming into his own as of late and is another product of the Highlands QB factory. Honest question though, does anyone else think he is better than Drew? Both young men have strong arms, check their pre-snap reads to recognize the D very well, locate the mismatches with ease, but I think Beau has the advantage with his legs when needed. And I stress when needed because they have outstanding pocket protection with the hogs up front. If people are doubting them because of a loss to Elder and C Columbus then they might as well doubt every other team in 4A or any other class. Outside of another fluke play, the Bluebirds are on their way to number 23.

The only team that I see stopping HHS is themselves.

No team is a lock but HHS is the strong favorite IMO. Regarding the rushing attack, you are right about HHS not having a "Harris" this year. They are more of RBBC this year. HHS used to spread out the carries among 3 guys but with Watson down, it will be primarily 2 guys going forward. Because of spreading out the carries, none of the RB's have put up the numbers of a Harris. The QB this year is as good, if not better than last year. Both were/are very good. Regarding the Elder game, they were down 35-7 at half but Elder did not let up in the second half. I was at the game and trust me, there are HHS fans who accuse me of being more of an Elder fan than an HHS fan (I am not but oh well). The point is that the 2 touchdown difference is indicative of the difference in the two teams. Elder is better than HHS but not by 4 touchdowns. It was a huge game for Elder. If Elder lost that game, they most likely would have not been in the Ohio playoffs.

 

I am just glad the playoffs are finally here! We will know for sure if someone can knock off HHS very soon...

That's what I was thinking when I read it. Noting fluke when the backup QB comes in on 4th Down and throws the game winning TD pass. All because the QB had his helmet ripped off by a defender.

Honest question cause I did not know that the kid's helmet was ripped off. Was the helmet taken off prior to him passing the ball or after? Also what the rule if a player losses his helmet? Play is dead? like in college..
