I like North Oldham to come out of the west. Highlands rolls in the title game to win their 747483993383892928283893939948587 championship. You highlands guys have no idea how privileged you are to have the community that you have. I envy you. Bowling green finally got "it" and jumped on board. I feel that OHS has the talent year in and year out to be on that level but so much would have to change and the bottom line is it will never happen.

 

its interesting your comment about envy. Many in NKY haven't the same feeling, moreover many have great dislike for HHS football. I do believe many schools, Newport Catholic, Covington Catholic, Beechwood to name a few, have equally passionate following but HHS seems to have a special quality around the football program.

I agree with what you said about Cov Cath coming into the Johnson Central game healthy, and I agree also that JC's schedule doesn't add up to the schedule that Cov Cath and Highlands play. I just think with JC averaging 9.7 points allowed per game, it's not terribly likely that they're going to be have a team put up 60 points on them.

Look at the schedule though...if Covcath, Highlands, Boyle Co, or Lexcath played the same teams, I think you'd see similar or better defensive numbers.

To add to that...JC gave up 14 ppg last year and Covcath hung 42 on them...45 the year before and Highlands put up 67 on them in 2011.

 

No reason for me to believe JC can get past BOTH Highlands and Covcath.

Not well enough to build a gameplan around but not so bad that it can be ignored.

If a running clock is put on a ranked 4A team then ATLCat is exactly right. 4A is way way way down.

This is not one of KC's best teams. Still, they're very physical and have a very good defense. I would not want to put money on a "running clock".

I agree about the points....Highlands will score on all there possessions if they don't turn it over...its not arrogance at all...I just dont think JC has seen near the offense that they would see with HHS this year.

Things always change in the playoffs as we seen last year. I do not think HHS is a lock at all. Because, they do not have a rusher even close to Harris from last year, and the main back they do have may be out. Last year their Qb threw for over 4000 yds, that is a big deal. I do not believe HHS is as good as last year. Finally they were down 35 ~ 7 at the half against elder, surely elder pulled of the gas, they have bigger fish to fry than HHS. The other teams in 4A should be ready to play because it looks to me HHS is as down from what they have been the last 3 years successively .
