Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio

We ate breakfast there, but packed lunch for the first day and I went to Chipotle for dinner. It was cheaper that way. Waterpark is a lot of fun.

Loved the place when the kids were younger. Didn't they have an issue with people getting sick a while ago?

By the way, fun thing to do if you are hanging out in the water while the kids are running crazy. Go up on the pirate ship or what ever it is and find the water blasters. Look for random people to shoot. You launch a little water on them and they can't figure out where it is coming from or they get mad at first about getting wet than realize they are standing in a pool. Good for some laughs.

Only you....

......

We love it and go every year.

The on-site pizza (there is a family dinner option of a large pizza, some salad, breadsticks, a 2-liter and some cookies) is really good!! The bakery has great breakfast items as well. Since you have to have an overnight stay, we typically get there about 3:00 PM, swim for about 3 hours, eat, then my son and I go back without the girls until it closes (9:00 PM maybe?). We do the MagicQuest game as was mentioned, which keeps us running the halls until about 11:00 PM. We get breakfast the next morning, hit the pool when it opens at 9:00 AM, and swim until about Noon. The rides are fun, the employees are very nice, and the facility is well managed.

I'd 100% recommend it.

This, exactly. When we go, we like not having to leave the hotel and we do dinner and breakfast on site. My kids are getting older (16 and 12) but they still have a ball there. They do the magiquest also and love it. The pizza is really good and not too pricey. The breakfast buffet is good, but not great. One thing I like is it is always clean and the staff is excellent.

I have heard the place has bed bugs read the reviews.

We used to go to the one in Sandusky when the kids were little and I never had an issue, but I had a lot of trouble breathing when the one at Kings Island opened. I am sure they have the issue corrected, but it was bad initially.

The lodge was great, everyone had a blast, the rides are great for an indoor park and they are geared for kids. The only ride I couldn't bring the youngest on was the coaster slide, which was my favorite. We ate there except for he ride home, food was good and priced fair. I really liked the pizza place, but the burger/dog joint inside the park was great too. The only thing we tried from the wood fired grill was humice and pita bread to go, but that was excellent also. We will definetly be going back, probably this winter.

The only issue we had was the drive home. We Headed down 71 South and stopped in Mason because the kids wanted White Castle. While waiting on the food about 15-20 emergency vehicles passed by and turned onto 71-S, I knew that was a bad sign. When we left I looked at the interstate and southbount was a parking lot, entrance ramp was blocked by police. So we had to improvise and the only way I knew of offhand was to cut through Blu Ash to 75. We left white castle around 7, didn't make it back home until almost 11. Those things happen though, hopefully everyone involved in what appeared to be a major accident (although I never seen it) is ok.

All in all it was a great trip, we will be going back. Thanks again for everyone's tips and information!

Glad you had a great time!

ive heard great things about that place and only wish I would of went there when our kids were young. Now it's too late, if I were to go now someone would think I'm stalking the kids there because it would be just me and the wife.
