October 15, 201412 yr Hmmm....word is circulating now that Marcus Mariota' date=' Robert Nkemdiche, TJ Yeldon and Brett Hundley all have authenticized items for sale from the same dealer.[/quote'] RIGHTEOUS ANGER!!!! It's all fouled up folks. Everything. Btw if you don't like hearing about Jameis, then don't bother turning on ESPN or opening these threads. He's an idiot but it's also their choice to saturate coverage with everything.
October 15, 201412 yr And for the record, I have NO problem with him screaming that phrase in front of other students. I think that was funny. I try to work it into 4-5 conversations a week if I can.
October 15, 201412 yr Please, Jimbo is the victim in all of this. You're just saying that cause he's your MCM
October 15, 201412 yr Please, Jimbo is the victim in all of this. Victim ? Seems to me that he's the enabler.
October 15, 201412 yr He's gotten away with sexual assault Oh, you now have more information and evidence than the Police and the District Attorney? You should share that with them. I have personally seen 3 SA's railroaded on sexual assault allegations that turned out to be false, one of which I was in the quagmire of that resulted in a good kid being expelled famously. If the Police and the District Attorney say there is nothing there they can charge him with, how long are you going to hang your shroud of guilt over him? If the worst three things the kid has done is steal crab-legs (moron), stand up in the Student Union and yell a ridiculously played out and sophomoric phrase (grow up kid), and sign his name (maybe) for some paper....I'm going to hold off on having him drawn and quartered. He has handled stardom poorly and can't get out of his own way, and I certainly wouldn't be thrilled if he moved next door, but in a strange way I can't quantify, I find him strangely likable. I guess I consider Manziel more of a clown (we are working in degrees of ignorance here) because I think a kid that grew up with every advantage should have known better. Either way, calling someone a pathetic loser is loser is 1.5 miles over the line, in my opinion.
October 15, 201412 yr We are all losing perspective on the #1 reason to leave him on the team...at least for now. FSU vs. Notre Dame Let him play and beat the Irish...then they can suspend him. #GoNoles

Just didn't want you to leave anything out when you were compiling the list......
October 15, 201412 yr Don't forget Jameis had a run in with a BB gun with campus police. Just didn't want you to leave anything out when you were compiling the list...... Good call -- also very, very dumb.
October 15, 201412 yr Jimbo looked awful on television. I feel bad for him. Why, he brought the clown in, now deal with the circus.
October 15, 201412 yr Victim ? Seems to me that he's the enabler. He's in a no win situation. What is he supposed to do in this situation that is the right call? Anyone who says "I would do this, this and this if I was Jimbo" isn't being realistic. He's just as much a pawn in this as Jameis is. As was mentioned earlier if FSU feels the need to cover themselves Jimbo will be the scapegoat. Let's look at Jimbo's thought process though: 1. Winston and the BB gun. Sounds like a similar incident that happened close by. Happened in his redshirt year. School handled the issue internally. 2. Alleged sexual assault in which no charges were filed. What should Jimbo do? Should he bench his star QB when the powers that be at the university are doing all they can to keep the star QB out of trouble? Seriously, what is the right call for Jimbo here? Punish his star QB when at the time it appeared that there wasn't anything to punish him for? 3. Crab legs. Winston was suspended by the baseball coach and was punished by Jimbo as well. Winston served two punishments from two different coaches and did community service as well. 4. Student union immaturity. Winston was suspended for a game. What is Jimbo supposed to do? Kick him off the team? For what? One game isn't enough? 5. Autographs. Prove Winston got paid for it. You don't suspend a kid for things that look fishy. You suspend a kid over good hard evidence. Is Jimbo supposed to suspend him without proof? This is why I say Jimbo is a victim. He's a victim to the system. It's easy for us to sit on here and say Jimbo should do this that and the other but this is a level of football right below the NFL. This is big business and Winston has gotten himself a high profile lawyer for a student disciplinary hearing. You can't just attempt to draw a hard line in the sand and not expect some kind of fallout. The love for Jameis Winston and FSU football is large at FSU. The #blameJameis phenomenon is just getting started. Jimbo isn't in a position to be judge, jury and executioner in his role and I don't think anyone saying Jimbo should be doing this that or the other would do anything any different than he has. Anyone who says they would should just go coach at Western Indiana University and enjoy sniffing the roses and whatnot.
October 15, 201412 yr Hmmm....word is circulating now that Marcus Mariota, Robert Nkemdiche, TJ Yeldon and Brett Hundley all have authenticized items for sale from the same dealer. So it seems like the kids are getting smarter. Get paid for your autograph. Make sure no one videos it or takes pictures of it and they can't prove anything.
October 15, 201412 yr So it seems like the kids are getting smarter. Get paid for your autograph. Make sure no one videos it or takes pictures of it and they can't prove anything. Except for Gurley apparently and to be honest I kind of expect a video of Winston flashing the cash he got for the autographs while signing the autographs to pop up today. :lol2: I mean, would anyone be surprised at this point? :lol2:

October 15, 201412 yr And to save confusion this is my stance on Jameis: I think he is an idiot and is extremely immature and has a very poor structure around him. The enabling goes far beyond the coaches and university. He's been enabled from birth and that is clearly evident. At the same time he is an extremely talented football player. Likely the best quarterback to ever play for FSU and that is one helluva list. I genuinely like and root for Jameis and will continue to root for him in life and on the field. I do acknowledge his past transgressions and as always in life I reserve the right to change my mind IF evidence is proven that he is a scumbag. Prove to me that he raped the girl and everything changes. I'm not going to hate him or call him a loser for the BB gun incident(see UK players), the crab legs(I bet some UK players get free wings from BWW from time to time) and immaturity in the student union(immaturity is prevalent in a whole lot of places by adults these days). Definitely not going to hate him because of the autographs but if it can be proven he took money for them then I will have enjoyed watching him play at FSU. Rules and rules and if he violated them then he suffers the consequences. If FSU came out today and said we're suspending Jameis Winston and he'll never play for FSU again I am good with that too. I understand completely and wouldn't have a problem with that at all. At the same time I also get why they haven't acted in that manner and I am good with that also. I hate that Winston hasn't seemed to get a good grasp on his stature and his role as a team leader and student athlete. Hopefully something clicks in his head before he further ruins an opportunity to advance in our society.
October 16, 201412 yr Adnan Virk of ESPN compared Winston signing autographs to Adrian Peterson's arrest for child abuse. It's crap like this that makes me sick to my stomach. Asinine on so many levels.
