This quote is starting to become the norm after a loss and quite frankly, it's becoming frustrating.

I have been really impressed with the Male defense. They've been doing a great job shutting down opponent rushing. X had a few decent runs but not consistent enough to swing momentum in their favor. Male took control with the first play and never looked back.

I went to this game last night. Male came out received the ball and first play was a 50 yard bomb. They punched it in and its 7-0 quick.

In the entire first half X couldn't of had more than 2 or 3 first downs. Males D played really well stopping the run and Mr Houk just couldnt find any rhythm. At the half it was 24-0 and that score may have been a bit light as how Male dominated.

 

X never quit and came out, after a tongue-lashing I would assume, and established a nice run game and TD. X's D was outstanding the second half. They set X up at the Male 5 after a turnover, that X takes in for a second TD, but misses XP. X couldnt mount any more offense in 2nd half and gave up a pick6 with about a minute to go.

 

Good resolve by X, they made Male earn it, but you have to play 2 halves to beat them.

Male, WOW they have more than just Cain and Whitfield to accompany their talented QB. They have at least 6 quality skill guys that can contribute. What I liked most from Male is the balance of their offense. They attacked X outside the hashes early and often with speed and good blocking Once that was established, they ran Cain out of the shotgun formation and with X worried about the edges it was very effective.

 

Wish it hadnt been poor weather, but thats football. X just needs to keep going. Male will be really hard to beat this year in playoffs.

Anyone know how the 6A playoffs go this year? Like what districts match up with who and on which side of the bracket.

 

I believe its

 

D1 vs D4 and D7 vs D2 on one half

 

then...

 

D3 vs D5 and D6 vs D8 on the other half.

I believe its

 

D1 vs D4 and D7 vs D2 on one half

 

then...

 

D3 vs D5 and D6 vs D8 on the other half.

 

Jeez probably the best 6 teams in 6A are on one side then...

Yeah but I thought Scott County's district rotates to the other side in some years like in 11 when they played Trinity in the finals instead of semi-state.
