There is no reason why rational human beings should care about what he has to say. October 10, 201411 yr I did vote for the President twice. My main reasons were AHCA and what I perceived as a sincerity in bringing about transparancy. I am very pleased with the results of AHCA, while recognizing there are flaws that need to be reworked. I find my biggest disappointment in his tenure has been the transparency. But I also recognize that what I may feel is appropriate may not be. But it doesn't seem much progress had been made there. Of course, a lot of the other issues on his plate were more critical. Economically, I don't know how anyone can NOT feel we are better off now than in 2006. Envioronmentally, I believe in responsible stewardship of our resources and that required attention to the negative effects of our way of life and its conveniences. No issues with any of his policies there. Defense...well given the complexity and new way of war, I have no idea what the "approopriate" policy should be. I do believe we (the world) have been to slow to move from our traditional thinking of war, and it is costing us dearly. As my overriding criteria are social issues, I am inclined to feel President Obama has been successful. I can recognize though that for those who place economics and defense as priorities his presidency has not been succesful.

Also, in KY alone, over 80% of those new sign up are Medicaid. How can it not be with $85 billion a month being pumped in? It is not equating to Main St. Prices on nearly everything continue to rise. We have over 47 million people on SNAP. And ironically, our recession hit around the same time as our elections in 2008 although there were clearly signs before that. But I also fully believe that the media and others can cause a recession. A good read would be "A Random Walk Down Wall Street". I suggest seeking to understand the term "rational expectations". Definition: if people think the market will go up, it will; if people think the market will go down, it will. Coincidence? There are many social issues important to me as well. However, it is kind of like, I can't give to charities, the church, rescue animals if I don't have a job that provides me with the resources to do this. It is a really good job, but not really what I would have dreamed for myself. I look at the economy like that, it is our role as an economic superpower that gives us the role to think and act on other issues, not the other way around. And this is where I differ radically from the progressives. The progressives seem to ascribe to the Marxists coolaid "let the government control all resources so the common man can spend his time in higher pursuits". History has shown that this is a devil's pact. The government cannot effectively manage the resources, and the people become the pawns of the government. I do not wish this future on ourselves.

If a family is getting an offset for the premium from the government, how in the world do you think they can afford that kind of deductible? Do you see this as affordable?

The $10,000 is for the Bronze Plan family deductible. $10,000 not bad? I'll pass that on to the families that have to pay that deductible. It amazes me that people can't see the forest for the trees.
