I think it's hilarious that you feel I lean so heavy to the left. It cracks me up! I read everything I can by anyone who writes. I don't usually even check what site it's from before I read something that catches my eye.

 

And even the most extreme have an opinion, and I'm interested in learning what makes them hold that opinion. I'm not necessarily interested in either side's actual opinion. I'm looking for the reasons WHY they form those opinions. That gives me insight I may not have, and makes me think about things in ways I may not have considered before. It CAN change my own opinion. But most times, not. But I do at LEAST have an understanding of WHY they hold their opinions and a respect for their opinions because of that.

PP92, can you tell me why you love Obama? I am serious. So you know, I think he is the worst president of my lifetime (and I am in my early 50's). I am not trying to be combative here. I am asking with an open mind because I think your posts are typically well thought out.

 

I am surprised that you are not familiar with Krugman. I was an economic major in college so I do think I know a little about the subject and I think he is an absolute disgrace to economists everywhere. Lipton Bash's post #9 above sums up my feelings about him completely. But back to Obama...why do you love him? What has he done to earn your love?

It doesn't take long, at least for most people, to sort out overly biased hacks that write political blogs or articles these days, on either side. How can a small minded, partisan, buffoon that themselves refuses to listen to the most fair or open minded opinion from someone that's not of their their political persuasion give you (or anyone for that matter) any insight in any way, shape or form? You're telling me you respect someone that hates you because you're ideologically different than them? How have they earned your respect? I'm not buying it.

Do you dismiss the KKK? Hateful an closed minded is hateful and closed minded. I know full well both you and rockmom have dismissed things people have said, likely even on here. Everyone does at sometime or another and more often likely when it comes to politics. But hey, it makes you look good to act otherwise, so run with it.

I've listened to him debate others on talk shows, I've read more of his articles then I care to remember and unfortunately I've seen him on all too many news shows. It's not like I'm not well aware how perspicuous he is in his partisanship so please, save the "dismissing out of hand" or similar nonsense.
