Reading on a Seminoles board that Harris may be involved in a case involving some track athletes purchasing LOTS of merchandise at a Wal-Mart over the summer. Speculating it was with a stolen card, AND possibly an incident of the Jameis Winston variety....

Appears to be sexual battery. UFPD lists a charge of sexual battery being investigated from Saturday night. The name is pending and charges have not been filed yet.

It just baffles me that so many college football players get sexual battery charges... For every girl that says no and won't give it up, there are 20 behind her throwing it at them.

Agree, but I also worry that there are times when girls aren't saying no but then either regret the decision or want to "get revenge" on these guys when they don't fall madly in love with. Girls are romantic. We think he will be our boyfriend when really all he wanted was a quick use.

 

There will obviously be DNA that supports an "assault" claim. I don't know. I just get a bit worried when we are so quck to rush to judgment and drag these guys through the mud when it could be the girl lying or trying to get revenge/attention (see the XU case).

That probably happens too. A girl falsely accusing someone of sexual assault fires me up just as much as some guy forcing himself on a girl. But I've been around enough football (and basketball) players to see how they act with females, and it's obvious when a chick isn't feeling it. Just move on, and holler at her friend that is throwing it.

lol don't get me wrong, I've been around the same thing. But I am pretty sensitive to girls crying "rape" when they weren't actually raped or assaulted. I know quite a few girls who have completely trashed a guy's reputation with completely bogus claims that they were "abusive." it was for attention.

 

Don't take credibility away from the women who truly are assaulted. If you're a woman who accuses a man of rape or assault and it turns out you lied, the charge should be turned around on you. 100%.

 

I guess it just makes me nervous. A girl cries assault and within 12 hours a kid is suspended from football, could be kicked out of school, and media involved and charges haven't even been filed.
