Some cities have bans against high powered airguns, airSOFT guns hardly fit into that category. I have a pellet rifle that you can hunt small game with. My son has an airsoft gun that you couldn't kill a bumblebee with. Airsoft guns are not weapons.

He basically was happy Stoops did something right a way but also thought 1 game was good punishment. I think Matt is towing the company line.

Charges for what? Brandishing a toy? They definetly used bad judgement, but to my knowledge the did nothing criminal. Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit to me, if charges are indeed filed.

Well they did cause a lock down of a public state university. That's actually a big deal and not a brush off.

I agree that it is a big deal, but since they did not threaten anyone in any way or intentialanly incite panic, it wouldnt fall under criminal charges. People forget purses, briefcases, etc all the time in public places, which these days leads to evacuations and bomb squads being called in. Yet it wasn't intentional, so you never see charges being brought upon ordinary citizens. I could understand fining them for response expenses, but they should not face criminal charges.

As you stated for the 11 year old, it will not end well for these players. And it does mean a big deal when you are the cause for an entire major university campus being put lock-down.
