He looks like hell

You'd never guess he was a phenom as a prep and had a pretty good pro career. Looks more like the perv next door.

He made over $22 million during his NBA playing career.

He probably blew, sniff sniffle, through it all while standing at the betting window.

He is huge into Horses so I'm guessing he has a gambling addiction. He and Jim Rome are tight and they talk ponies all the time. Gambling addiction is a sickness. I know guys who dont have near the money Rex does that bet anything and everything. It almost ruined a friend of mines marriage until he quit cold turkey. If you like sports and have an addictive personality it is tough.

It's the guys fault who keeps texting and harassing him.

Nators!

I know about 6 guys that make a very good living off gambling, poker, etc. and never seem to work.

But there are much more that don't.

Unless they are wanting to make an example out of him, he'll get a suspended sentence with probation and pay restitution and a fine.

I've had bigger cases than his get that or less.

By now, you’ve heard that Rex Chapman was arrested for stealing $14,000 worth of merchandise from an Apple Store in Scottsdale, Arizona. Chapman pretended to use the self-checkout app on his phone to purchase the items, which he put in a white plastic bag he brought into the store. It’s hard to believe he could get away with that, but someone has now leaked the surveillance video that shows Rex stealing some of the items.

It’s hard to watch, and another reminder of just how sad this entire situation is.

 Idiot...there are 500 people in Clay County more adept at shop lifting than he is.

No more inventory than they have on the counter and in the entire store, it Wouldn't/Didn't take long for them to figure out they were losing merchandise. A few hours of watching video later and BOOM you have it.

Not to mention he went to the same pawn shop and they identified and chatted with him

Pawn shops by law have to record who they get stuff from (at least in KY) you should never take stolen traceable items (ie with serial numbers) to pawn shops. Most police departments collect a report monthly from Pawn Shops to compare it to theft reports.

Hard to believe he was this desparate. I wonder who was trying to collect those debts?
