Compared to the super district teams and Scott County, the rest of 6A is mediocre compared to the level of talent in those programs. Trailing those programs are McCraken County, Meade County and SK.

 

Okay, lets for one second agree that maybe SK could play with the teams below. But could anyone else in the NKY 6A district play consistently with any of them. And my guess is that SK would even struggle with most of them.

I hate to say this, but I put SK on the same level as St X this year. I did see only Qtrs 2 and 3 of the St. X vs. SK scrimmage, but felt SK definitely moved the ball better than X during this time. I did miss the 1st Qtr where X scored. Only a scrimmage, but as an unbiased opinion, SK can compete with most of the ville this year

 

SK definitely gave them all they could handle this year. But I'm from HHS, scrimmages don't mean anything...ala HHS and Trinity! :thumb:

I think above average as a whole. I can't separate out CC, Dixie and SK yet but if I had to I would think it's SK-CC-Dixie. As a group I would put them anywhere from the 8-14 range which obviously is good. Boone and Ryle don't help the mix.

Boone hung around LexLafayeete, so I not sure they belong on a list of contenders.Dixie and CC are probably competitive with the bottom half. I'm not as convinced as Bubba that SK can hang with the super district teams, and I was at that scrimmage and SK did more than hold their own. X is a great defensive team.

Bryan Station - NONE - no not because they played HHS close. They have way too much speed for our 6A teams. Just a horrible match up IMO. They will continue to move up, you watch.

Lex Lafayette - ALL COULD PLAY WITH THESE GUYS.

I think Dixie is hard to judge. If you can force them to pass the ball on offense, you will probably beat them. If not, they will roll over you with their running game. The other factor with Dixie is depth. They play too many guys both ways to be a top notch 6A contender. Still, I rank Dixie #2 in N. Ky. ahead of Campbell County.

 

State wide, all three of those schools should get consideration in the 5 - 15 range in the state.

Only 32 teams in KY 6A, so even Dixie at 14 is just a hair over the middle of the pack. And if you just put Trinity where there should be, that moves them all down at least one more spot. Is that mediocre or good?

How many games outside of NKY have you watched this year? There is no way Simon Kenton is within two touchdowns of Male, Trinity or Manual. Scott County, possibly but couldn't beat. St. X would be a game.

I disagree, I don't think any Lexington school would beat SK, Dixie or CC, or maybe just one Henry Clay. Having said that ALL 3 NKY teams should be in the top 12 -14 in 6A in the state. I think that's better then mediocre. JMO. I'm not saying any of these NKY schools can and are going to win state, but there better then average in the state in 6A.

 

You must be bias, because NONE of them could beat Scott Co, nor Henry or Bryan Station. Only SK might beat Lafayette but not the other 2. SK is the top of the list in NKY and would be in the top 15 but the other two CC and Dixie are probably a step behind that.
