It's an exciting time to be a Colt! New stadium on the way, with healthy numbers coming in every year. ST X, and T will always get theirs. We are just trying to lock down the talent rich south end, which we have been pretty successful doing the last few years. We want to remain 2A for the unseen future.

Yes, indeed! Colts won both halves: 12-10 and 7-3. Keeping a two score cushion most of the second half was paramount to the Colts victory. Both teams used some juniors, for those of you who care about such things. DeSales varsity QB was their punter/kicker today.

Brothers was outstanding at QB for DeSales. Desmond Ridder was very good for the Tigers and should be the varsity starter next season. I liked DeSales dressing the freshmen and the fact they used two top dollar Miller Transportation buses to travel from Kenwood Drive to Poplar Level Rd.

We take those Miller buses everywhere we go. We want our boys to be comfy. lol Us parents joke that our guys are spoiled. lol

Congrats to the Colts but somewhat concerned....

What is enrollment lately? What was it down to years ago?

Congrats to the Colts but somewhat concerned....

It's ok for slight concern, but my freshmen year in '01 we lost to Holy Cross 14-0. These things happen, especially on the JV and freshmen level.

Per KHSAA enrollment reports, DeSales 2013-14 numbers were 309. In 2002-03 they reported 317.

So, the Colts are doing more with less.

First, congrats to the Colts. I have always pulled for them over the years. Just don't take too many future Tigers. Where is the stadium being built, and where and when. This Is the first I have heard of it.

Interesting, I was thinking enrollment was growing in Colt land. However, you mentioned 2002-03. That was a great time for Catholic High Schools. Some type of a baby boom must have happened in 1988 because a surge of students could be seen going year by year through the Catholic School system. That was when Trinity hit 1440. Today they are in the high 1200's I believe. So if DeSales hit 317 during that time and still are able to maintain over 300, that is a pretty decent achievement.

Congrats, Colts. I assume that the Brothers kid THS mentioned is the one who went to St. Lawrence/Notre Dame Academy. He ws a superb grade school player.

Over the baseball field at the same place where they have played freshmen and jv football for years. Baseball moves to Beechmont.

Supposedly it will be open next fall.
