I know, they have played them 26 times over the years. How has that worked out for you? I guess you've heard the blind squirrel story.

Don't worry CDon, SK is having their time now. Just like Boone Cty did in the late 80's and early 90's. As they continue to grow... what happens? Other schools will be built.... what happens next? They become 2 or 3 mediocre (see: boone county, ryle and cooper) teams. Is Marksberry a good coach?... sure, he's okay. The population growth is the number one factor along with the new facility then coaching. I could coach that much talent. It will fade and IDI%#@s like UK#1 will also fade. When that happens schools like Highlands and Beechwood will rise again. Highlands is going downhill fast. They set a very high bar for themselves. They'll be back. My guess is that when Mueller sees a good pipeline coming, he'll come back and "save" Fort Thomas.

SK beat Campbell County, Highlands lost to Campbell County.

 

Seriously, I am not sure how much you know about sports. Just because SK beat CC and CC beat Highlands means diddly squat. It is all based on match ups in my opinion, SK was much fresher than CC in the late 3rd and 4th quarter. I get so sick and tired of people comparing scores (wins or losses) of like opponents to say who will win and won't win.

Highlands is the winningest program in KY and 2nd winningest in the country. Since the playoff system was implimented in 1959, the Birds have played in just over 50% of the championship games and have won over a third of the championships. I think they will do OK.

SK won last year 22 to 0!

In hopes of bringing the thread back to the actual topic...

 

I feel that if HHS gets their snapping woes together (if you were at the game, it really killed the birds in the first half) and really focus on their tackling this week in practice they will have just as much of a shot as anyone to beat SK. Wish Matt Sherear the best of luck in this one as he faces off against many of his best friends who he grew up with at HHS.

Nope....You better not show up. The HHS Frosh practice from 6-8 on Weeknights. This game was originally scheduled for Thurs but has been since moved to Wed @ 6 because HHS has open house on Thurs. I hope this helps your confusion......
