Based on what I've seen from your jv and freshman squads the last 2 years, I'd say more the level of Boone and Ryle! Face it, the talent level in Ft. Thomas has dropped significantly in the last 3 years.

 

Even if this is true, do you think that's the first time that's happened in the 100 years at HHS. We don't have 100 state championships, so my guess is that even if other teams close the gap and happen to beat us a year or two, history tells us they will be back. Remember, a good program is a marathon, not a sprint. I guess you feel Trinity is on the decline too. Boy, remember way back when, when T, X and HHS were good programs??? Man, those were the days!

Highlands has ALWAYS been landlocked. The district is closed to the classes that are at capacity. Which also means there are more kids at HHS than ever. So I'm not sure what you mean. I have two kids that I currently pay tuition for at HHS. So it's really funny the perception some have of HHS without knowing the truth! Again, you are so funny!

Based on what I've seen from your jv and freshman squads the last 2 years, I'd say more the level of Boone and Ryle! Face it, the talent level in Ft. Thomas has dropped significantly in the last 3 years.

 

I hear ya! Isn't it just incredible how those kids are transformed in to state champions? They really do a nice job preparing those kids for the varsity level.

Thomas which is a mature community with no room for growth and no open enrollment.

 

I expect more athletes from Boone County to start showing up in Kenton County Schools (This is already happening.) as the commitment to football in BC is absent and athletes will want to be part of programs with more administrative and financial support without high tuition costs.

And why is that any different than what has happened in the past? Boone and Ryle were growth points at one time. Heck, Campbell blew up 10-15 years ago. Now it's Kenton Co. We survived all of those and will survive this my friend. Again, you must look over time, not at a slice of time. Let me ask you this, what happens in just a few years when SK grows over capacity and another school is built and the talent is split.

 

As for facilities, apparently you aren't aware of what is going on at HHS. For the first time I can remember, they are putting a lot of focus on their facilities. Hence the brand new state of the art workout facility. The brand new field house scheduled to open in January. The renovation plans for the gym, new locker rooms and separate football training room. Man, you need to keep up before making assumptions! Your Ft Thomas source is not really "in the know" at all!

Man, you must be a young guy. Because you don't know too much about history. Camp County, Boone and Dixie used to all be formidable 6A teams...as well as Newport, NCC, Lloyd, Holmes, Cov Cath being 3A good teams (in a 4A classification), and guess what...HHS still thrived. And I hope you aren't saying NKY 6A is good now, because IMO, it's as bad as it's ever been. We have one mediocre to decent team...and yes, that's SK. Other than that, it's very weak. Yes, some of them are on the way back up, but by no means are they considered strong teams. If SK is the best of the rest, then that's not saying much. Don't have to look far to see that. Playoffs tell us that every year and I'm not trying to be mean there. Its fact.

And there is one other thing that many, including you forget. HHS is the best education in the state of KY. HHS has NEVER, EVER had anywhere near even decent facilities. And guess who leads the state in championships. I can show you HUNDREDS of schools across KY and the country that have unbelievable and immaculate facilities and are terrible! We have seen this all the time. Until the education diminishes at HHS, nothing will change. First and foremost, families choose education. Sports are a bonus. It may work for an attraction for awhile and then a new school will be built, parents will look at the education and get their priorities straight and common sense will then rule again. We've seen it all before. Remember, it's a marathon! Just because what you think are a couple weak classes have passed through the halls, doesn't mean HHS is going away! That's hilarious! They adapt and move on. Surely you have seen the thread about 100 years of excellence, right? You think that's just going to come to an end because a few classes that you feel are little and slower than typical have come through? Hilarious!!!
