September 7, 201412 yr We were lucky the FG's only didn't get us beat. Offensively, I think they tried to do too much. They sure showed a lot. No turnovers by the offense was big. Dalton played pretty well, but he is NOT a runner. They had to ditch that run option early. Still have to get the ball in Gio's hands more. Red Zone obviously needs tons of work. I think Eifert may its snake bitten. Hope it isn't season ending, but didn't sound good. They are a way different defense without Burfict. I hate when they try an protect a lead and give way too much cushion from CB's. Gilberry is a beast. Most improved player I have seen over the last year. All in all, we won on the road in the division never ever easy. I'll take it!

September 7, 201412 yr Depth on defense wasnt a big concern for me except on the d line. However the one guy that they couldnt lose was burfict. Just like when ray lewis got hurt the ravens defense sucked to end the season two years ago that is what happens if burdict goes down. Any team play will slip when their star and leader goes down. When ray lewis came back for the playoffs they end up winning super bowl. I know content1 kept saying it in update thread. However you do realize the bengals play only two linebackers the majority of the time. Lamur played well but vinny rey and ray ray didnt do much I admit. However you keep acting like drafting one in second or third round would guarntee they would have an impact. Its easy to draft one but doesn't guarntee anything. Just look at ray ray who was a second round pick himself. It would be nice to see that fourth round linebacker they picked get healthy though. However in the bengals defense usually only two linebackers will be on the field the majority of the time.

I honestly thought I would see people being happy with him Besides the one third down throw when he locked on one receiver and sanu wasopen. Peolple said they wanted him to be a game manager and protect the ball and hit the big play when its there. He did just that today. Didnt force the ball and hit the big play on a great deep ball to green right after the ravens got the lead.In the past dalton misses that throw in crunch time. I been critical of him to but overall solid play today and didnt make stupid plays like flacco did afew times today.

He did bring them back with a clutch throw. 301 yards and no picks. If he does that we will be fine. They did look out of sync some, but this is a new offense. They still didn't establish the running game well. They had some good runs but struggled in the second half where they needed to control the ball with the run.

They only had 4 WR's dressed so I am assuming they were going to use that 2 TE set a lot. That first quarter they moved the ball great when both were in. I think once he went out it changed what they wanted to do. Hopefully its not as bad as it looked and it won't be a season ending injury.
