Bengals 23 Ravens 16

Featured Replies

It was a huge huge win for the Bengals. After week one we look like the definite favorite in the North but we have a lot to improve on.

What do you think about my long winded post in this thread?

Hill looks ok, a solid role player but if yolu watched the Dallas game at all, Hyde could be a star a true #1.

As gametime pointed out it was against a bad defense. Not to mention teams have to also respect the qb running ability so that makes people in the back end have to stay at home. Also the old man frank gore even still looked good last night. Last night didnt show much. If you switch the two hill looks better yestetday while hyde doesnt get many touches in the bengals game.

Hill remind me of corey dilon and I hope we use him more.

Plus Hyde has probably the best rushing OL in the NFL, the Bengals are barely average rushing OL. Way to early to judge this one. I think both will be very good. You will see Hill getting more than 10 plays, as he did yesterday, as the season progresses.

I thought that the Bengals' offense showed a lot of the playbook for Week 1.

That being said, there's no way you can paint a division win on the road as a bad thing.

They were all over the place with what they were doing. Certainly not predictable. I think they were looking to see what they could really refine as the season progresses. They showed about everything.

You are better connected than I thought. I'd like to see your copy....of the playbook that is! :lol2:

Let's hope there's a lil more to show!

Like I said about DT, the Bengals really got caught on this one:

The Bengals are thin at defensive tackle, and there's no help in sight. After waiving Christo Bilukidi and watching the Baltimore Ravens claim him, Cincinnati looked to have a nice backup option in Kevin Vickerson.

Scratch him off the list after the Kansas City Chiefs snagged him.

All of this means Geno Atkins, Domata Peko and Brandon Thompson are the lone defensive tackles on the roster. That's simply too thin, even if Margus Hunt, Robert Geathers and Wallace Gilberry get some snaps there. If no outside free agents are brought in, perhaps David King will be signed from the practice squad.

I think they thought Bilukidi would slip through waivers. If that is so, bad mistake IMO.

I can't disagree. They should have dropped one of the 7 linebackers they kept like Jason DiMonche because he probably wouldn't have been picked up by anyone.

Add to this Geno was coming back from injury and you don't know how much he can go, Peko started running out of juice last year, and Thompson is unproven.

And now the suggestion wasn't even to bring Still up.

The Bengals better get back to business, especially with us being suspect at LB, we have to be strong at DT and we can't afford to rotate DE's in at DT because we have to put pressure on Ryan or their WR's will eat us up.

Very disappointing...

I agree they absolutely thought they could slip Bilukidi through and/or then sign Vickerson. They needed the extra corner on Sunday because Dennard couldn't go, but now they don't have Bilukidi or Vickerson and I'm not completely buying the Geno was dehydrated response from Sunday as why he was carted off. It's possible he was, but the knee still isn't right. Probably won't know anything on Burfict until possibly even Sunday. The concussion protocol is completely out team's hands as far as when a player is able to return to game action.

The NFL/Pro Football teams sure are a sneaky bunch...

Hill looked like a pretty good pick to me today. Hill definitely seems like someone who could be a true number one if we ever need him to.
