What do the Campbell and Bryan Station games tell us about Highlands?

Featured Replies

I think it clearly tells us these are not your big brother's Bluebirds.

Do you agree? Disagree? And if you disagree what do those games tell us?

It tells me that they were tested twice and still won both games. They have new coach so I am sure that takes some time to adjust whether he comes from the "system" or not. They will be fine if they always live with the fear of being crushed by SK. (insert annoying green smily face here)

It tells me come playoff time, Highlands may be forced to have to find a way to win the last few games if they want another state title. Do I think Highlands can, yes, will they?????? Ask me in October.

It tells me that they will have no cupcakes this yr and that is not a bad thing when you are after only one thing and one thing only.

This schedule is the toughest in KY imo with the exception of T's college schedule. :thumb:

Need somone to do the SOS thingy to prove it, our old friend Birdsfan would be all over this one right now.

Calling OLDBIRD...come in OLDBIRD

Season is young, but very reminiscent of last year's Bluebirds. Will score with anybody, but good teams will score on them nearly as much.

Doesn't tell us anything we didn't know already, this team will have some growing pains.

I disagree, I think it says Highlands is vulnerable.

Tells me they are human this year. They may still will the state championship they are not a lock to be playing there like in year's past.

I disagree, I think it says Highlands is vulnerable.

We may need a few more games before we can make that conclusion. If true, a nice juicy thread topic would be whether Dale Mueller saw this coming and it influenced the timing of his retirement.

way off topic... but curious as to what the new sticks are on the side of their helmets?

I didn't see them but Highlands is celebrating 100 years of football excellence so it may be related to that. Big party on 9/20! Go Birds! :angrybird12:

As I said, doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

I have had a couple of people usually in the know tell me he did but I have not confirmed it with anyone I would consider an authority.

Only to people ignorant about Dale Mueller.
