I agree Guru. As a HHS fan, I think HHS is going to lose multiple games this year most likely and may lose by 25+ to Elder. Also, this is the first time in quite some time that most HHS fans are legitimately worried about Cov Cath.

 

The good news for HHS is that they are young and should get better as the season goes along. Also, 4a this year appears to be simply weaker than it has been in a while. HHS could possibly lose 3 or more games this year and still win the state championship.

We may need a few more games before we can make that conclusion. If true, a nice juicy thread topic would be whether Dale Mueller saw this coming and it influenced the timing of his retirement.

It tells us that HHS has to play 4 quarters instead of two...nothing less nothing more. Enjoy the ride is all I can say.

I think the close games are providing hope that they are not as far out of reach as in the past. However, I will say that we know they went through several changes including a coaching change, coaching responsibilities, brand new line, moving kids from one side to the other...just to name a few. Absolutely no excuses here...none needed, they are 2-0 on the road against 6a teams. Just saying there aren't many programs that could absorb all those changes (and more) and still be 2-0 with still a lot of upside and room to grow. This is the key. What I have seen tells me unless they go stagnate, you will see a very good HHS team by the time they really need to be very good. There is no doubt in my mind.

How long is Telek out? The offense will reach another level once he is back.
