All Associated Press members in Kentucky are eligible to participate in the high school football poll. Those who voted for this week’s poll are: Daily Independent, Ashland; Daily News, Bowling Green; Times-Tribune, Corbin; The News-Enterprise, Elizabethtown; Glasgow Daily Times, Glasgow; The Gleaner, Henderson; The Courier-Journal, Louisville; The Mayfield Messenger, Mayfield; Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer, Owensboro; Appalachian News Express, Pikeville; Times Leader Princeton, Princeton; WPAD, Paducah; WKYX, Paducah, WRUS, Russellville.

Newport didn't even get any "Others receiving votes"!

6A McCracken is not equal to Manual

5A I like this list better than BGP

4A Boyle is not above Cov Cath; Owensboro with a lot of love

3A South Warren with a lot of love

2A Looks ok to me

1A Beechwood, Raceland and Ludlow should be a little higher

Are the voters the same each week? How many members are there in "All Associated Press" in KY?

Are there not any newspapers in NKY? No AP members up north?

I would put Scott a head of Cooper.

Wondered that myself. Its odd that they are not included in the poll. Nothing from Lexington either.

Not since the KY Post went under, no. I'm assuming the Cincinnati Enquirer didn't have any say?

That would be a tough call for me to make until they at very least have some similar opponents to judge by. Personally I think I'd have to see Scott beat Cooper before definitively said Scott belongs above them in the polls. Regardless, I love seeing Scott getting votes in the AP poll period. Danny Wooley is doing some awesome things in Taylor Mill.

Probably not since they are based in Ohio but they probably should be since they have extensive coverage of NKY high school athletics.

I agree. They've beaten a not very good Holmes team, and play a even worse Aiken team this week. The first test comes next week against Newport. Cooper has a real rough stretch the next 3 weeks, and Scott's isn't nearly as tough. If Scott can get by Cooper and Newport they have a shot at going 9-1 or 8-2 and hosting a home game. If not, they are looking at a .500 season.

Since no one voted from Madisonville or Hopkinsville, I can only assume those cities no longer have daily newspapers. :idunno:

Any AP outlet in the state may vote. Apparently many just don't want to.

I would put Scott a head of Cooper.

I think Cooper's defense is too much for Scott.

Skinny, will you not have the chance to vote this year in KY's AP polls?
