Meso is getting consistent AB's. That's the key. The start two days, sit three days didn't give him a chance to get in a groove. Meso has also spent some time on the DL this year. The reason Meso is performing better this year is that he has been given a chance. It's really that simple. As far as the angry parent comment. When a manager refuses to play the best player then I have a problem with the manager. When you have a HOF catcher like Johnny Bench singing the kids praises for the last two years, and the manager isn't playing him then there's a problem. This holds a ton of weight for hating on Dusty.
