If You Could Re-Cast Any Movie Role....

Featured Replies

I would recast Christopher Walken into almost every movie. :lol2:

Actually, I was thinking of this last night. Christopher Walken as John Conner in The Terminator. The dialogue he could have come up with as John Conner trying to kill the Terminator could have been classic in his stilted, unique style and delivery.

Who would you have put in Titanic!? I can't think of anyone better than Kate Winslet for that role. Kate Winslet is perfection.

Julia Stiles is...womp womp. Still loved Save the Last Dance though.

A) Joanne Froggatt -- Kate Winslet is a little cherubic for my taste.

B) While I find Julia Stiles to be like nails on a chalkboard, all in all, I liked the movie as well.

Mentioned this a little while ago, but I couldn't stand Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp in Tombstone. Can't think of who I'd recast him with though. Definitely not Kevin Costner. Can Gene Hackman play sheriff in two early-90s Westerns?

Ed Harris? Tommy Lee Jones?

Sam Elliot?

I have not seen him in that flick, but Don Cheadle is brilliant in everything I've ever seen him in. One of my favorite actors.

:thumb: I thought the movie Traitor was pretty good.

I liked him in Con-Air, The Rock, National Treasure(s), Gone in 60 Seconds, and Raising Arizona.

He was actually really good in Peggy Sue got Married

Denzel and Morgan should be recast for any non-comedy black male role. They are so freakin good.

I'll tell you why I love this thread, we have adult males debating the casting merits of Save the Last Dance. :D

I've already had more than a couple head-shakes at the mention of that movie. I've not seen it, and I'd be willing to say that, barring some death-bed dying wish made by someone who means a lot to me, there isn't much any chance that I'm going to see it.

If I could triple like this post, I would have.

Easily the best post in the thread, and instantly one of my all time BGP favorites. I only wish I had thought of it.

Affleck's attempt at Jack Ryan was laughable. A lightweight for a movie that butchered a good book.

The A-Team movie recast:

Hannibal Smith- George Clooney

Face- Matt Damon

BA Baracas- The late Micheal Clark Duncan

Murdock- Owen Wilson

This was the cast I had in my head forever for this movie- well before it was released.

I would recast Christopher Walken into almost every movie. :lol2:

Christopher Walken makes even bad movies watchable.

Loved Walken's role in the classic (must own DVD) flick, Joe Dirt.
