UK, you are likely right for this week, but I think by seasons end my words are likely proven true. I would bet Seneca has a strong year and JH's youngsters come on strong.

John Hardin has a LOT of replacing to do. Backfield is talented, but unproven. QB was making first start. Lost RB starter first game due to torn ACL on Friday.

 

Would NOT be surprised if they lost Friday at Central Hardin. THREE days to prep (finished Seneca game yesterday/Monday). Central has never beaten John. Arguably CH's best team ever (returned most of team from last year's 11-2 squad). Game is at Central. And Central looking to prove it was better than its Week 1 win (never trailed, but North Hardin was 1-10 last year).

Good points CK! I do expect them to host the semifinal game this year. They played at BG in the semi-finals last year. I think it would be their turn to host this year.

This is spot on. I personally think JH will have a horrible start to this season and be well below .500 when they start district play. But they will improve, as could be seen last night. They played much better than they did Friday and if they played Seneca again they would beat them. They have a shot to beat Central Hardin this week but their line play on both sides of the ball has to get better. Both of their stud sophomore RB's scored last night and the QB will only get better. They may end up with 4-5 losses this year but they should be in the mix at the end of the year.

 

I don't want to pour sour grapes on Seneca's win, but they should shake the officials hands because they flat out blew several calls, including an "inadvertent" whistle that cost JH a TD. In my line of work, I would be relieved and fired if I had screwed up that bad.

I think in the next few weeks you will see a NKY team make it into the top 10. Whether it is South Oldham, who is considered in that district but not as much NKY, or Cooper or Conner, someone from that district will sneak into the top 10. Just my opinion of course.
