Final.

Good work Dayton!!

Logan Brewer had a nice game on both sides of the ball; depth caught up with Dayton near the end as they wore down.

Depth caught up with Dayton???? How could anybody have less depth than Brossart.

Depth for both teams is pretty sad. Whats Dayton #s compared to Bellevue this year?

Nice game, can anyone provide details?

Dayton was up 18-0 in the 4th quarter. Brossart scored on a fumble return defensively and another one offensively with a pass in the last minute of the game. Logan Brewer had close to 100 yards rushing and some nice tackles in the backfield on defense. Dillon Adams also made some nice completions passing for Dayton.

Dayton has about 20 players. Future may be better as far as numbers go; a couple people I talked with close to the program said the youth football league's numbers have picked up quite a bit.

two of my nephews play in Dayton youth league. one team has 14 players total and the other has about 50 haha.

Just a bit of difference, lol.

Congrats to Dayton.

And nice game, Brossart! For a team that almost wasn't a team, looks like they pulled it together to compete on opening night.

Love seeing Dayton get a W. I know Brossart's program is in some particularly tough times right now, so I'm sure it would have been a real boost for them to come out and win one right away, but that's how it goes sometimes.

It was junior Frankie Cetrulo who ran in the recovered fumble, and senior Garrett Ahlbrand who caught the touchdown pass from QB Clay Kramer.

Too many flags on both side of the ball!!! Game time, Two Hours and Twenty-Five minutes.

Dayton pretty much put long drives together to score a touchdown in each of the first three quarters, while Brossart scored 13 unanswered in the fourth quarter. The touchdown pass came on 4th and Goal from the 18.

Brossart gets a week off, before taking on next year's Class 1-A opponent Bracken COunty on Friday night, September 5th in Brooksville. Dayton gets Lloyd next week.

If you are used to reading my reports on BMustangs, at present I do not have update capabilities and the site is in limbo. Yahoo shut down the update tool that I have been using since 2001, so if anybody knows of a nice text box/photo drop website host, I'd be interested in hooking up with them.

I agree, it seemed like Dayton had at least 20 calls for false start. Lots of cleaning up to do.

About the same. I heard Bellevue has 23 players on the roster.
