August 23, 201412 yr I fear that tonight might be the last real good game I work for the 2014 season.
August 23, 201412 yr And so did every Reds fan out there before the season started. I think they still do, didn't they have 35,000 last night? With the lineup that is being put out there every night, management has to be estatic over the crowds

August 24, 201412 yr I said from the beginning that if they could hit they would win. A lot of fans knew they might have a problem this year. Hitting the ball is critical, which they have struggled greatly with since the All-Star break. I was somewhat optimistic before the break, but that optimism lasted for a brief moment.

With the lineup that is being put out there every night, management has to be estatic over the crowds Had 31,000 on Friday. Lots of Braves fans in that total, but management doesn't care whose spending their money on tickets and in GABP. Nice to be on the good side of a one run game.
August 24, 201412 yr It is 11:13 on Sunday morning and it's the first time I cared to check to see if the Reds won or lost. Not sure if that says more about me or the Reds.

Nice to be on the good side of a one run game. Wasn't there like 42,000 there last night with storms, heat and a Luke Bryan concert at Riverbend. . I hate to see the big crowds if only for the fact I don't think management will move anyone or shake things up partly because of that. Do you know if they are getting a lot of walk up ticket buyers?

I bet between the people who came for the bobblehead and left early and the two hour delay that the remaining crowd was small. My daughter did't make a lot of money last night selling beer like she usually does on a Saturday evening game.
August 24, 201412 yr Author A split wasn't what I wanted as the thread starter by it definitely is a step in the right direction.

My daughter did't make a lot of money last night selling beer like she usually does on a Saturday evening game. The weather really killed what I thought would be our last great game of the year. All In, I'm not sure what they announced, but I know they had released Standing Room Only which basically means 40,000+.
August 24, 201412 yr A split wasn't what I wanted as the thread starter by it definitely is a step in the right direction. Towards what?
August 24, 201412 yr I did get my bobble head though. But after 2 hours waiting on the rain I bailed and watched the game at a bar eating some sings and drinking.
August 24, 201412 yr Towards what? I am with you NKUbaseballclub. :thumb: The glass remains 20% full. Stay positive. (I haven't been able to stomach watching for about a week, but I am still all-in, at least in spirit.)
