They have said all along the starter would be the starter. But injuries play a factor, as does competence. If Towles gets hurt or doesn't perform, that upsets the whole apple cart. I look for Barker to practice and maybe travel, but will not see any game action unless absolutely necessary. And if by game five or six he's not been needed, then he'll be redshirted.
