August 13, 201412 yr [video=youtube;99snk-CAVMw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99snk-CAVMw They have so many more classics such as "Will the Circle be unbroken" and "Dance little Jean" etc. A great band that a lot of people forget about. BTW, they will be in concert Sept 19th at EKU. Still have the 4 original members
August 13, 201412 yr Along with headliners like The Beatles, Stones and Led Zeppelin, back in the day some of my favorites were Wishbone Ash, Deep Purple, Strawbs, Mountain, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and probably my favorite - Yes. Still have all the vinyl. We need to hang out someday. You a fan of Mott the Hoople as well?
August 13, 201412 yr The Outfield While I loved the album "Play Deep," a band needs to have more than one album to be considered anything beyond a one-hit wonder.
August 13, 201412 yr The Replacements. Best band of the '80s and most of you have never heard of them. This is probably their signature song. Feel the same about Drive By Truckers now. One of the best ever, and most people can't name one song by them.
August 13, 201412 yr Feel the same about Drive By Truckers now. One of the best ever, and most people can't name one song by them. Yep. I tell anyone who'll listen that DBT is what Lynyrd Skynyrd would be if they came out in the mid-90s.

August 14, 201412 yr V-Roys, I'll be eternally grateful to Jim for introducing me to them. Glad to. It's been a joy to share them with so many people. Plus, they were definitely the most underrated band of the 90s. Those guys should have been huge stars. I love Steve Earle, but he gets full blame for this one.
August 14, 201412 yr Author 707 Interesting little factoid, Kevin Chalfant was the lead singer for one album for both 707 (1982's Mega Force) and Shooting Star (2006 Circle's). However, he achieved chart success when he formed The Storm in 1990, the band included guitarist Josh Ramos and (former) Journey members Ross Valory (bass), Gregg Rolie (keys), and Steve Smith (drums). The self titled album rose to #133 on the Billboard album chart, scoring two Mainstream Rock radio hits with the #6 “I’ve Got a Lot to Learn About Love” (which also reached #26 on the Hot 100) and the #22 “Show Me the Way”. August 14, 201412 yr I assume most of you have never heard of 70's band UFO? They were hugely influential in the hard rock/metal world, as was their guitarist, the great Micheal Shenker. Their live record, "Strangers in the Night" still sounds great to this day.

Then again, I was pretty well-versed in metal at one point in my life thanks to you and the Sawville crew.
