Some will and I have no problem because that is the nature of the beast, just don't excuse him when the economy bounces the other way.

Taking politics out of this for a moment, this is good news for the country, PERIOD!

I am not going, based on one early released government report, declare the economy is booming.

It is preliminary good news which is sometimes just that, preliminary. I would want to know more...what jobs were created or was the GDP AGAIN driven by exports of refined petroleum and energy products. What I see in business is that the economy is hanging in there, but could just as easily be hanging on the edge of the cliff. The elephant is still in the room, and it is our country's deficit spending and debt which continues to be increased to prop up the economy.

But...rational expectations...if everyone thinks things will get better, they usually will...and visa versa.

top 1% is roaring under Obama . I'm loving my 401 K reports .

Positive news like this often seems to energize people and lead to more positive results. I certainly expect the next unemployment news to continue the positive news cycle and combined with this growth hopefully can spur a stronger comeback. It's particularly good timing as many organizations are ramping up for their 2015 budgets.

My business is owned by an equity investment firm. Any good news translate into very aggressive targets. It is a win-win for the firm....if we make the target they make money, if we miss the target by a bit, they make money and save bonus payouts.

Isn't it ironic?

Interesting how things can be so conflicting in the world of economics:

Chicago PMI, July 2014 - Business Insider

The Chicago purchasing managers index unexpectedly plunged to 52.6 in July from 62.6 in May.

Economists were expecting the index to climb to 63.0.

"A monthly fall of this magnitude has not been seen since October 2008 and left the Barometer at its lowest level since June 2013,"

Emphasis added.

Not sure how GDP can be well analyzed for 2Q when most companies have not even finished their quarterly close. Future revisions should be interesting to say the least.

Wall Street got hammered today... Losing most of this years gain..
