Is there anyone (stay out uk#1fan, we know your answer) that thinks Conner would beat Highlands if they played in the regular season?

First off, it's actually fairly easy to keep track of the score in 7 on 7's. You see everytime a team scores you can add a point. It's that simple.

 

I highly doubt I am the only one who chooses not to keep talley of scores in a 7 on 7; I just choose not to because, you know, it's not actually football. I would rather watch individuals and see how they're improving. I applaud Conner for winning a 7 on 7. Congrats! However, as Ukfan and Voice of a Reason have said, I find it very difficult to believe that in REAL football game Conner would come close to beating HHS, JMO.

That is fine to not keep score etc. What I was laughing at was the idea that you made about how difficult it was to keep score for a 7 on 7

Understood but hey, it's July and it's all we got. If teams got together in June for checkers I'd be crowing if HHS beat Trinity. Shoot, we've been known to brag about the eating prowess of our Oline in past offseasons. Time to have fun right now.

Highlands has to much depth. Conner plays to many kids both ways. It would probably be a win for Highlands.

Really, folks? It was 7-7 and less we forget, a SCRIMMAGE.

It is a different story when they put the pads on and play on Friday nights.

Impressive for Conner. Here is the rest someone sent me off BGP:

 

Conner started off slow giving up 2 but picked it up scoring the next 3 drives. Highlands didn't like being down so they starting holding, hitting and tackling. Until they took the lead Conner was playing soft. Jeff Martin threw 7TD's Kyler P threw 8 TD's. Highlands had a great D in the red zone but Conner still made big plays. Conners, Boyd had a huge pick the only one by either team. Biggest factor in the game was Tanner Nyers. He played all out. If Conner can keep it up and have the line which they will, they will have a great year. I also see Highlands losing their opener it Campbell County. But expect big things out of the Cougars.

 

 

I would love to sit down and watch the Hudl video with your coach friend. I just got done watching the 144 frames that were shot with the Conner camera and uploaded to the site.

 

The TD total was 9 for Conner and 9 for HHS. Conner did have one catch in the end zone by a wide open receiver but the whistle was blown for taking too much time.

 

Kudos to Conner for playing right with the Birds.

HHS runs defensive calls. Sends backers, safeties, etc on some plays. Of course since they can't force the action, they are just taking themselves out of the play, but it is much closer to simulating the actual defense that they will play in a real game.

I was thinking the same thing watching it live on Friday, It looked like Conner was playing a prevent D on every snap by dropping 8. I just figured they have an awesome 3 man pass rush to fall back on.

It's 7on 7. The dissecting of what happened by some HHS fans is beyond hysterical

Scott/SK 7 on 7 probably because they only had one half of the field. Soccer team was practicing on the other side.
