Preachit
Normally not a gambler but am going tomorrow. First time to a casino. If I just take 100 dollars with me, will I be able to play games and have fun or will I only be able to play like three things? What do people normally wear? You'll be fine, and can probably play for a while. It's not enough for tables, but you'll be ok with slots. As far as dress, where whatever you want. It's for the most part very casual. You should be fine at the slots but the table games could be a quick exit.
ColonelCrazy
What games do you plan on playing? Typically the table minimums on Friday night are $20. If you only have $100, you will be broke in less than two minutes. If you go during the day or early enough in the evening, you might be able to find a $15 minimum. If you don't plan on playing blackjack, you should be able to make the $100 last. Regarding dress code, wear whatever you're comfortable with. You will see a wide range of clothing styles. Big Slick
Most casinos are usually cool, bring some type of sleeves.

If I just take 100 dollars with me' date=' will I be able to play games and have fun or will I only be able to play like three things? I put $20 in a penny slot and played for a while, cashing out when I got to $45. Put the original $20 back in my wallet and played with $20 of my $25 largesse and won $9. Cashed out and put $5.00 in a quarter slot. Lost that lickety split and left. I came home with $29 in Willings, though. . I was there for about 30 minutes. But I never touched $80 of my $100 allotment.

Horseshoe has a really good dinner buffet, never ate lunch or breakfast there. The steakhouse is really good as well, but a little more pricey. doubledeuce
I have been on some Fridays and found $10 blackjack tables. If I start with a $100 on those tables I can play pretty much all night, most times.
HammerTime
I ate at Margaritaville once, it was pretty pricey but good food and large portions. I couldn't even finish my meal.
Jack of all Trades
Been to the Shoe several times on Sunday evening and there are $ 5 tables for most every game. There are a lot of new games that I do not even begin to know how to play. Anyone know where you can get some information on how those games are played? There is a fella over here in the "Hills" named Toadhead that could probably verse you about those games. If I see him jogging through the city, I will ask him. Pamphlets are at most of the tables or you can look online. Mostly gimmick games where the house has a huge advantage.

I don't think I've ever seen a pamphlet at Horseshoe. Many of the dealers won't even tell you what 'the book' says anymore.
