In the 2012 presidential election, Romney won 52-48 of those whose highest degree is 8th grade. Obama won the post-grad segment 62-38.

 

So, no, I don't think many of you know how the uneducated will vote.

Actually, voters today are more informed than at any previous time in our country's history.

People with diplomas and degrees are not necessarily well informed voters. College students tend to be woefully under informed.

Another example of you making something up. Another broad generality not established in fact. Perhaps the GOP should hire analysts to find out why it fares so poorly among young people and women.

.....so should limits be placed on campaign financing and spending? Sometimes I think the more spending there is, the more the issues are obfuscated. Kind of like a good trial lawyer confusing the jury when he doesn't have the facts on his side.

Voters need to be more discerning through better education and street smarts.

But you do have a point, Obama's deceptive "Republican War on Women" ad campaign was very effective.

I didn't see any evidence of deception. All one has to do is examine the 2012 GOP national platform. Besides, it doesn't matter whether the "GOP War on Women" is real. What matters is whether the public perceives such to be true and whether the public votes accordingly.

No the majority of voters today don't know who their Congressman or even Senator is. Voters when asked in blind comparison often support the views of the candidate that they did not vote for. There is a better opportunity to be informed today than ever before due to all of the various media outlets available including social media. When people can name more Kardashians than members of the Supreme Court or even members of their own city councils you can't say they are informed.

Yet it's being attempted all over the country. Under the guise of something else, but that's what it is.

How is it being limited? In Rural Kentucky I have to show an ID to Vote, but for some reason it is a hardship for those in other areas to do the same. That is a tired argument that showing an ID is a determent to voting.

Perhaps it's time for the Supremes to allow cameras in the courtroom (gasp!). Call it "Reality Justice." Run it on the E Network rather than on C-SPAN. Scalia and Thomas don't have any problem appearing on TV when they're peddling their books. Problem solved.

Percentages cannot be used to support the claim that the poorest voters were responsible for putting President Obama in office, unless we know how many voters there were in each category.

Voters today are as ignorant as we've ever been. The average voter knows no more than what the headline blasts on the website. As tcjkbt mentioned, there's a lot of misinformation. Voters should be more informed but the problem is that they have to make the effort to cut through all the garbage to get to the truth. Can't use one, or even a couple sources.
