Obama won the under $30,000/year vote by a wide margin and Romney won the majority of the votes of net federal taxpayers by a smaller margin. Surely, these numbers do not surprise you, do they? I would be shocked if the great majority of voters who receive government assistance did not vote for Democrats or that those who bear most of the tax burden did not tend to vote for Republicans.

I demonstrated how the numbers that you cited were cherry picked and now you have gone off on another tangent. People with diplomas and degrees are not necessarily well informed voters. College students tend to be woefully under informed. Hopefully, you have had time to digest the numbers that I posted and realize that I am right about those getting government hand outs deserving heavy credit for returning Obama to the White House in 2012. There are many young, single mothers among those earning under $30,000. But you do have a point, Obama's deceptive "Republican War on Women" ad campaign was very effective.

White lies, damned lies and statistics".I mentioned this in another thread but I thought one of the examples shown during a presentation last night at the USA/Gannet corporate headquarters was very misleading. The animation showed deaths by drone strikes. It made Bush look bad and Obama even worse. However, it seemed to me that the interpretation of the data was highly suspect. I believe that the number of drone strike targets killed was less than 2 percent of the total who died. Estimated victims were categorized as children, civilians, etc. Much of the estimated death tolls in those strikes come from the terrorist groups themselves. I was tempted to comment on the bias of the animation but I might have been the only conservative in attendance. I didn't want to wear out my welcome at the inaugural meeting of the group. :lol2:

My concern with the data that has been shown is that it only shows percentages. Percentages don't support the claim that "the poor" were responsible for voting President Obama into office. We need total numbers for that. I'll look for the data today.
