He had a very understandable reaction to a story from a credible media source. When is it appropriate to react to a story on the news? Do we need to go personally investigate every one before we form an opinion, or have a reaction?

We don't need to jump to conclusions and add to the lynch mob mentality every time an emotional story is posted online. It's not sportsguys fault, heck I'm probably guilty of it in the past...but these things can spiral out of control these days. Now I try...key word there...to wait and see on these things before posting.

You still take the money back due to the fraud. People are always welcome to let her keep it if they'd like. Let's face it, the contributions were due to the story, not the injuries.

I still think most of the donors will allow the child to keep it to get the medical treatment she needs. Feeling sorry for this kid because she was allegedly booted from a KFC, is the last reason why people should feel sorry for her.

According to the article it sure seems that way. States that her website had only raised about $600.00 prior to the KFC story coming out.

Prosecute the grandmother or anyone else responsible for the fraud and make them pay restitution but don't punish the little girl for something she couldn't possibly understand. So in the end KFC will look like the good guy, assuming the lady made it all up. Good deal for them and the girl, the lady needs to be charged.
