July 4, 201412 yr If you want a truly unique fried chicken experience try Prince's Hot Chicken. Not far from downtown. Warning: Get the mildest you can. Prince's Hot Chicken Shack - Nashville, TN | Yelp Want to go there when I visit, sounds like it is off the beaten path in a strip mall and hard to find. Is this the case?, how far are we talking from Broadway? Thanks

September 22, 201411 yr Spent the weekend in Nashville. First time we didn't stay at a B&B outside of town. Stayed in Midtown. Really liked the area. Check out a restaurant called Soulshine. Great pizza. Nice local beer selection. Enjoyed Yazoo Lager. Good music place as well. If you want a somewhat challenging hike head south to the Brentwood area and do the Mossy Ridge red trail. About 4.5 miles of hilly, rocky terrain. Feeling it a bit today. Went to dinner at a BBQ place in the 12 South area called Edley's. Really good - not as good as Eli's , though.
September 22, 201411 yr ^Tootsies is definitely our favorite spot on the "strip". We usually frequent there and Legends the most. Never heard of Demo's. Where's that located? If you go to Tootsies hopefully KINDLY MYERS is working behind the bar. She is a huge UK fan.

It was a place for greatness this weekend. I was also there. Boys had a soccer tournament in Franklin and Brentwood. BEAUTIFUL places.

September 23, 201411 yr Taking an extended weekend trip to Nashville for the 4th. This will be our 3rd trip in the past 4 years, so we've experienced quite a bit of what the main downtown drag of Broadway and Printer's Alley have to offer. We'll be down there with another couple that has never been, so Friday and Saturday will most likely be spent in those areas, however we'll be there by ourselves on Thursday.... Looking for some ideas of things to do or see (maybe a good eatery or two) on Thursday that aren't in the heart of downtown. Suggestions? Through Bowling Green? sorry, as soon as I saw this thread title I had a Sundy Best song stuck in my head

September 23, 201411 yr Spent 3 days in Nashville 2 weeks ago. Downtown hotels are off the chart expensive. Great town. Ate at a joint about 5 minutes from downtown called Urban Grub. It was fantastic. I often stay near Vanderbilt, hotels are a little cheaper.
